These guys seem such a decent bunch of geezers. My 12yo son who is getting into tattooing (Yes, he's not tattooing actual people yet, hes using practice skin before anyone kicks off!), and metal. His favourite band is King Parrot. He said to me the other day "Call your electrician, your doors fucked." and I must admit, I got a tear in my eye. Good lad. \M/ \M/

Bloody parenting done bloody right my man! My nearly 7 year old daughter is at the rage against the machine, Karnivool and baby metal stage, which I’m certainly proud of, but I’m always sneaking in the black/death/grind coz she is still a little overwhelmed by more than 3 songs of it. But it’s there and I’m stoked. We watch literal headbanging videos on the tube, and she always asks for the scene out of ace Ventura with cannibal corpse playing coz she loves it and thinks it’s funny 😂 there’s an affinity there for the old corpse grinder coz his headbang windmill is one of the best out there 😂😂 we also corpse paint it up for Halloween, she loves the black metal style and I’ve shown her the king parrot vids with them all painted up. Haha this comment made my day. I’d love some ink from your kid! I’ll be the practice dummy with the minimal room I have left anyday 😂🙏🤘🤘🤘🤘

Unique sound.... I love heavy music but I'm wondering what is making these guys stand out so much opposed to other 'metal' bands in oz? If you are a fan would you care to share what makes you love this band in particular so much? Seem like funny characters with a unique DIY anarchist sound... But still yet to find out why the hype? Do they gig relentlessly? Is it the sound? Is it that they are just 'good blokes'? Please share as I'm genuinely interested as it's hard to get metal bands noticed in a world of shit music and they seem to be breaking through ok........

I thinks it's all of the above man, I personally think they're awesome, I've seen these guys many many times as well as played with them with my band, they just have a very catchy unique aggressive style, it's hard to compare it to something ells, it's new, fresh, something we haven't already heard a thousand times (I think anyway). as well as having a very energetic and entertaining live show with some comedic banter mixed in. and (I think) they're one the most relentless touring bands in Australia playing in places you wouldn't think would be a place to play like alice springs and Darwin, and are currently doing there first US tour, and yes, I think they're all very nice friendly and funny guys.

Go see them live. That will answer all your questions. I've seen them at least 10 times, and they know how to put on a show. Youngy has a stage presence (crowd presence too haha) that most bands would dream of. Not to mention they are all really cool laid back guys. Keen for a chat, or bevvy's. If they play near you. GO! You will not be disappointed
