If you like chopped up baked pork shoulder and vinegar, then you will like this. This is not BBQ, this stuff is cooked in electric ovens, chopped up, and a slat, pepper, and vinegar solution mixed into it. Want real Eastern N.C. BBQ??? Drive to Ayden and eat at the Skylight Inn instead.

I agree, Skylight needs to be your bbq destination in this area. He said when people use ketchup that they are not from that area. Maybe the bbq has no taste or they are trying to cover up the taste. I would not use ketchup though, if they have bbq sauce, i'd use that or mustard like south carolina style.
