I've seen a a lot of people talk about the timer pause we do at Maze. And, I'm going to clear up some questions since a lot of people are sharing their opinions on it. The reason we do the timer pause there is to simulate perfect loads but everyone in the team doesn't have really good hardware so we are allowed a pause by the mods on Speedrun dot com and in the SRC Discord. This pause we do eliminates hardware disadvantages between teams running this raid and essentially allows everyone running this raid to have the same loads and creates a fair and equal playing field. Now the pause we do in this run wasn't perfectly legal as we were the first team to do it but was still verified and is the World Record for this raid, so if you are running this raid DO NOT copy our pause exactly. Hope this clears up any questions and misunderstandings.

Basically we have 1 person on right and left skating back and forth resetting the totems so we dont wipe while we have the other people in mid killing adds and dunking stacks.

@@tabor5no you just need to have the aura/buff. The reason people stand on totems with it is because when you when the aura you don’t take damage while being under the totem (the totem damages you over time if you don’t have the buff)

the triple rejoin creates a situation where hardware disadvantages could create timeloss, so to try and make it a fair playing field, we pause the timer when we would normally start golgoroth, and start it again when the players roster merge - technically on the charging of bastion to place the bubble for golgoroth. This simulates a perfect rejoin, as if there were no hardware disadvantages / benefits

Clever use of yeets. A question though, You used the high jump to fetch the orb in daughters encounter without using all the platforms. But for oryx encounter the platforms were used normally. Why is that? Does the high jump technique not work for Oryx part?

I use the high jump in daughters because it’s an interact to pick up for the third one and I have to always pick up the third one so I use high jump to pick it up. We all don’t use high jump in oryx because not everyone is on a character that can do it and I don’t think the sniper platforms on the side spawn in during oryx.

we pause the timer because of hardware differences which can make times worse or better for different teams and pausing stops hardware advantages from happening and gives each team an equal playing field.

it called titan desync by casting barricade while walking off a edge then casting super your character gets desynced. And, you are able to dunk on both Sisters with good enough timing.
