I get a depressing feeling from this. Almost like the gods have abandoned the Earth as it rots alone, a tomb world slowly fading to silence.

man i really enjoy this track, i unfortunately never had a chance to play any of the king’s field games when i was younger but this melancholic atmosphere evokes a particular nostalgia i’m incredibly fond of. i can’t attribute this to any one game i can remember, i think it’s just a case of this vibe being fairly prevalent in rpgs from this time period, some of which i did own. anyway, thanks for the extended version!

@@r-o-o-k well Kings Field 4 is not that powerful of a game, you should be fine. I’d suggest just checking first if you haven’t already, it’s a fun game(though I’d suggest watching Iron Pineapples video about it before you play for some important info like how if you skip a secret item in the first part of the game, magic is basically unusable, etc.)

Hearing this music, it is eerily perfect as a echo of the past of souls games. The dark tone is inherently in almost all souls games, even deeper into Elden Ring. The chorus of voices, echoing a soothing, yet unnervingly ominous melody, a blend of tones that are present in the characters of souls games, from the joyous and soothing charm of those like Seigward of Catarina, to the agonising fate of the damned. It's literally the formula of souls games but in music form, from the game that bears so many similarities to the games that quietly carry it's torch many years later...

When this track came on in the very end it got a whole nother vibe to it. As you go thrpugh quite literally the dark reality to get to the dark one. And that very last line from it:"So you seek the darl too" At some point it was seemingly just another creature that domehow became intertwined with the dark itself. Such a cool design even if it only survived three strikes of the moonlight sword.

This kind of music here brings out inspiration for a lot of my tabletop games for D&D and Pathfinder. Thank you for this extended masterpiece. Now, to create a glorious kingdom of light, soon swallowed by the tides of time and darkness.

Arent D&D and Pathfinder campaigns usually quite light in tone? Way lighter atleast than anything this piece evokes in your mind. Desolation, hopelessness. A forgotten dead world.
@KaneEnyo Жыл бұрын
@rykehuss3435 Sometimes. Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter, Waterdeep, and Ravenlofft can get dark. Just about anything in Forgotten Realms can be made into a dark setting. But from my experience, it's just easier to homebrew a setting that is dark like this or a post-apocalyptic fantasy setting kind of like Dark Souls and Elden Ring.

Ok I just had an idea and yes I've smoked a few bowls but hear this one out. You've seen those christmas videos where people make the lights react based on the beat of music they are playing and it sort of lights up the entire house to the rhythm of the music right? Picture this, it's Halloween and I have purple, black, and red lights all over my house which will move to this beat the entire time but that's NOT all! I want full size statues of zombies, gargoyles, and various creatures on my lawn and as the beat continues I want certain lights to shine on certain monsters on certain parts of the song. And at other parts of the song I want the gargoyle to spew out fog/smoke which makes the entire scene even more eerie. I want all creatures eyes to have unique lighting so when the beat chooses them their eyes, wings, claws/weapons, all light up to the beat of the music. All of this happening at the same time all Halloween.... how much money will this cost?
