I had Total Chaos UCA’s on my 200 series Landcruiser, had to take them off for a GVM upgrade, everything has to be new for engineering here in Australia.

Damn frame is a flexing!!!
@UZ-T4R6 ай бұрын
Actually just bent a support bar between the shock towers just for that symptom. Core supports are torn with that much flex.

Your shits bad ass dude but please do the frame reinforcement brackets it will help you in the long run

Trucks not moving! Sweet. I waiting for my king 2.5 ext coilovers and total chaos lower control arms right now. cant wait.

Didn't realize the frame would twist and move that much. I wonder if front frame cross memebers would help with rigidity and performance.

what is that noise? Is that your UCA hitting the spring?
@UZ-T4R8 ай бұрын
No it never hit the spring, but it probably could have used a limit strap. I believe the rattle is the brake pads. I don't think I installed the retaining springs for this session. So they were only held in by the pins.

Why are you running dual shocks......you couldn't achieve your suspension expectations with a single King reservoir coilover? because the single 2.5 doesn't fit? Thanks.
@UZ-T4R2 жыл бұрын
2.5" Coilover will work fine in most applications. I have a single CO on my 5th gen 4Runner. The reason I run the secondary on the 4th gen is I drive extremely fast in rough terrain, and that helps w damping. I have no anti sway bar either, and the secondary helps w control on the hwy and cornering in my daily driving. Also, proper Nitrogen pressure is highly important for your shocks to perform up to their full potential.

Any tuning done to the shocks?
@UZ-T4R3 жыл бұрын
I gave Filthy Motorsports the specs and weight of my 4Runner and they set them up. Nitrogen pressure is important too. I made sure they are all at 150 psi.

are you able to run stock LCA?
@UZ-T4R3 жыл бұрын
I have TC LCAs because it's a dual shock set up. Here is a pic of my build. www.toyota-4runner.org/3065797-post19.html But yes, you can run a single shock set up w a TC UCA and a King Coil Over (or any brand Coil Over) on the OEM LCA. I have that system on my other 4Runner. I don't think you'll have the same amount of travel or damping ability, but it's still pretty strong.

@@UZ-T4R did you made the front end wider? what are the benefits of replacing the lower arm the same size as the stock one?
@UZ-T4R3 жыл бұрын
@@darkslashify its stonger for one, it has a little more travel range, and you can run dual shocks on this set up.
