Great story. I loved Part 1 and Part 2. Patrick Swayze and Alison Doody were perfect for their parts. Wonderful acting by all in the cast. The movies kept our interest throughout. I loved the African and the good against evil theme. Patrick Swayze never disappoints me. He is greatly missed. I highly recommend this movie and I hope you will enjoy it also.

I began wearing 6 guns and tin badge about 5 or 6 then at 18 I strapped on a Shield and A Real Pistol (357cal - model 28 S&W) and Retired as Captain !! ! God Bless and Stay Safe Lady and if you have Children Hold them close, if they are Married with children of their own hug and hold your grandchildren close I Hug my Great Grandchildren all 3 of them !! ! But I Prattle on too much about Me .. . It is almost 7:30 and Breakfast and my Avatar, my Wife is calling TIME TO EAT .....

With him He had me shooting and driving on his lap helping him tear down motors, with my brothers. He was a firefighter. So I had to tag along to Forrest fires with him and run get different tools. That was normal to me, 2day it's child abuse. Miss him so bad.. I've had adentures to... stay safe sir GOD bless you and yours...

This is the 3rd time ive seen this great classic over the years and it never gets boring. I notice something new each time. I noticed he saved the womans life 8 dif times in it. I also noticed that noone in the comments got "offended" over the voodoo medicine woman having "white face" . She was the best character in the entire movie, with the exception of Swayze of course. Great story anc cast, awesome landscape and good fight scenes. Have a great day❤️🙏

I've seen all of Patrick Swayze's movies. He knows how to deliver the best performances he plays. He puts all of himself to each role, in each movie, he's ever played. R. I. Patrick. You were the best actor for each role, in every movie, you ever played in. I love this movie. It was a great movie full of suspense & mystery. Good direction & well produced. Everyone who played in these 2 movies, did a great job. I loved the man who played Henry. he's been in quite movies & did a great job. Swayze was just about perfect in the lead role. Riveting. I read this book when I was a kid. Numerous times. Read much of H. Rider Haggard, including another great book, "She." One of my all-time favorite adventure stories. Don't know how many times the book has been turned into film - but this production is probably the best of them all.

It is no wonder that Patrick Swayze is a legend with his good looks and great acting. This is true gem of a movie espousing honesty, patience and sincerity. He has gone too soon. Wonderful story of love and adventure, overcoming adversity, comradeship and bonding, seeking treasure, trekking in the desert, overthrowing a cruel king and restoring the rightful king, of wise women full of knowing, and a dashing hero played by Patrick Swayze, as well as an old man, an academic with a great passion to discover the lost mines of King Solomon. I first got fascinated by the story of "King Solomon's Mines" when I heard an episode of Lux Radio Theater in 1952. It featured Deborah Kerr, Stewart Granger. It so nice to see one of my favorite actors, Patrick Swayze, in this great movie.

The soundtrack is incredible. It does well capturing the majestic grandeur of the real King Solomon as per the Bible. But you have to appreciate the creative license allowed in the movie. After all, the unwritten truth of King Solomon in all his wisdom and wealth probably exceeds our best imagination.

All the movies that I have seen with Patrick Swayze have struck a chord deep inside of me. He has this ability to play characters that are quite complex... sometimes you never know whether he would be your "hero" or "anti-hero". And yet he does this with such incredible ease. I remember way back someone speaking of some actors such as Harrison Ford for example as NATURAL ACTORS. In other words they are completely themselves in front of the camera. Once this kind of actor understands and assimilates the intended character then it is like filming "A day in the life..." This is how I have experienced Patrick Swayze films. At least for me with his acting there is always something that mystifies me. He simply does not follow the atypical stereotypes of a hero. At times he seems almost too "common-place" to be the hero. You never know... in the next scene he could suddenly become a scoundrel... or maybe fail your best expectancies as "faint-of-heart". Even his passions for a woman remain mostly a mystery (although obviously suspected) until very late in the movie.

A really great film, the sort you so rarely find. Ryder Haggard was on my book list at school and it all starts with his story. But it takes great talent to make the book into a film like this. The baddies were bad and the goodies were good so you never get confused. I shall just have to watch it again !
