This book really influenced me when i read it. I felt that i had just read something very profound and deep, which touched a soul i didnt think i had. Then i found out that the man who wrote killed his wife, their son, and himself. If the rule you followed brought you to this point, of what use was the rule?

Archetypes are not advise. They are a substance beneath our nature as humans. Understanding them is helpful only for understanding how to act and thrive. The rules for thriving in a city may be very different than the rules for thriving in a rainforest. However the nature of a person to find the ability to adapt is a deeper and universal nature. These things are about the nature of a man and how they can manifest in destructive or constructive paths.
