There's probably 100 ways to prove that a person exists, lives where they say they live, and is legally eligible to vote. I can think of 4 good old school ways to do that that don't involve internet and another 4+ ways that do. All methods are simple, effective, and inexpensive compared to the cost of damage control after a botched election.

Social media ads emails Integrating voter data systems with other states Utilizing online verification Call it a voter census but do it every 2 years. I had unclaimed money in a state treasury and it only took me having to send a couple documents and upload my drivers license to their site to get it. Very simple... Rx drug dependent patients get flagged for trying to overfill their scrpts so why can't states have a similar process for multiple state voters? I could go on.... there's no excuse for elections being this efft up. I'm just thinking of ways off the top of my head and my only experience with voter lists is the envelove stuffing, phone calling and walking precincts I did as a kid in the 80s and 90s. My mom was a campaign manager growing up. So even though I'm no "expert", I do know how simple it is to get it done.

Hmmmm. Aussie here. A few things I noticed. The report speaks of over 43 deceased voters but only mentions finding 14 that weren't. Does that mean the other 29 *were* deceased voters? Also, given that all the names are there why not give the number? "At least 43" is a really odd way of putting it. There's no doubt that the report has flaws and the people preparing it must do a much better job and not make assumptions. However there are some questions to be asked about the news report. For example, how many addresses were visited to find the two examples shown? Would the full sentence be "We had no trouble finding this address, but couldn't find 254 others"? How many people and places were visited to find the examples shown? This information gives full context to the news report. I must admit that the report came across to me as politically biased. I noticed that with the visit to the Republican office there is space on the board outside for 6 signs but the Republicans are the only sign, so presumably the only people renting an office. When the reporter enters the building the lights come on, this implies there's nobody there at all. So it strikes me as odd to walk into an unoccupied building and then speak as if the person avoided an interview. The office hours are 10 AM - 2 PM so it's easy to drop in at 3 PM and amazingly there's nobody there. (Our media play the same games.) It's all about perception.

This shows you're paying attention, which I appreciate. I'm the reporter on this story. Let me explain the deceased voters issue. Voter Research Project supplied this info to Skagit Co Elections in several batches over the course of several months. A report on Skagit Co Republican's Election Integrity site (dated Sept 30, 2021) says "..at least 43 deceased voters..." cast a ballot. That's what we quoted in our story. In records responses from Skagit elections, I did not find all 43 (if they were all listed). But I did find 14 in one Excel spreadsheet. These are the 14 we checked, and all their votes were cast before they died.

It should be impossible to know (assuming that the premise is true). Votes are anonymized. Nobody knows who anybody -- living or dead -- voted for. Mailed voters sign an affidavit of some kind; after whatever verification the law prescribes the affidavit is separated from the ballot which is basically put in a big pile of other ballots so nobody can tell who anybody in particular voted for.

Provided that the answer is a non-zero answer, it would be impossible to tell. Votes are anonymized, as they should be. The ballot is in a sealed envelope, and the envelope is what identifies the voter. Once the voter is verified (in whatever fashion the state's law prescribes) the ballot is removed and put in a big pile of other ballots at which point it's impossible to know whose ballot was whose.

In los angeles county. Republicans registered people from outside the county to vote. Find a voter roll. Run the addresses to see if there are multiple voters at one address. Thousands of republicans from outside the county had their registrations canceled in 2008 as the mailing address was gop campain headquarters at 1050 cherry street los angeles. In 1998 a small city of lawndale had a reporter walk 2 blocks and knock on doors and ask to speak by registered voters by first name. Why do you want to talk to our infant or dog and cat. That was in the southbay breeze news paper. That was put together by gardena card clubs to get lawndale to allow casinos to escape the iron fist of gardena police oversite.
