You are right, things have changed. We've been at war for a decade, this country has gone through a depression and this music now makes more sense now than ever. The music industry though in General has gone to shit. But that doesn't change the fact that king 810 comes out of something directly linked to modern day America.

OK EVERYONE PAY ATTENTION! To the commenters, STOP COMPARING KING810 TO SLIPKNOT! King810 is not trying to be like slipknot. ive talked to both Corey and David and know them personally. they are friends and trust me, their bands are nothing alike. when i went to knotfest 2014 i met all of the bands backstage on the main. when i asked them what their bands message was, David said he was showing the real world and how it isn't some dreamland. Corey said it was just a dream he wanted to carry through and that he loved every fan as if they were equal. this shows that these bands aren't some hard headed ignorant singers like whitechapel. so just saying i love every band and hate no one but stop comparing King810 to slipknot. Thank you for Spending your time reading this. Have a nice day!

This band has really intrigued me as of late. I've heard all about some of the criticism towards some of their onstage imagery and prior personal indiscretions of a few of their members. But this song in particular just has such an incredibly haunting vibe. It is definitely heavily influenced by early Slipknot (makes perfect sense that they're touring together). I got to watch their set at Knotfest and their live show is just pure intensity.

Most people find the exploration of this whole "ghetto poverty" bullshit pretty lame, and very similar to rap, which is one of the least genuine forms of music around these days. KING is just creating and selling an image, and young suburbanites are buying it all and gushing like true fanboys do. Constructive enough? If you like it, then go ahead and love it. Klo Riley I had family who was born in Detroit and Flint, Michigan. Back in the day, it was better. Then the auto industries left. Detroit and Flint have become dangerous as all hell, very poor areas. My grand-father goes to Detroit every year to visit family and he says there are streets with only one house on them as the rest have been burned down or abandoned. Police take hours to respond to calls. He says houses burn and the fire department lets them burn, crime is horrible. He says the same is with Flint. When my grandma lived in Flint Michigan back in the 60s and so she said she locked herself in her home with a gun because of the Detroit riot in 1967 and she feared the violence would spread her way. They are just poor, sad, destroyed cities, but my grandfather said every year he goes back the area looks better and better. There is still hope for Flint and Detroit.
@kristininariley10 жыл бұрын
I don't know too much about Flint, which is weird considering I live around here. I assumed it was a place like ann arbor. I live about 15 mins from Detroit and not all of it is horrible. I used to stay there in the summer at my dad's and it was safe and calm except for all the little kids playing loudly outside. I know what you mean about the bad parts, though. My grandma unfortunately lives out there ("the east side") and everything is exactly how your grandfather described.
@MetalDragon_CSY10 жыл бұрын
Klo Riley Yeah I know not all of it is horrible, my grandfather tells me about the family picnic they go on while he is out there visiting and the nicer places he goes to. He says there are still lots of nice parks, restaurants and the such. It isn't all bad, but the bad areas of these cities are REALLY bad. And like I said, a lot of the city is getting better, it is just taking a lot of time since the main sources of work (automobile industries) vanished. I hope I can come out to visit Michigan someday, possibly on a trip with my grandfather.

i used to hang with the guys from time to time... they lived on 811 oak st before they were big. theyve always been brutal, and probably always will be. they shut down venues like total xscape on corunna road etc. always fighting people everywhrre they went...,which just isnt me. ive lived here forever. but.they definitely fuck shit up....dave has come a long way from where he came...but never a conformer, or whiny kid. just smart, brutal, lived in the hood, and liked metal.

What a devastating/threatening video/track. Everything, the discordance, vocal delivery, lyrics, tonality, frequency, everything reeks of fear, destruction and depicts unadulterated hopelessness that people just appear to concede. They have made this track sound like they come from the depths of hell. I fucking love it!!! This is a contemporary cultural master piece. *****

Slipknot meets NIN? Yes please! These guys are my new favourite band! So refreshing to hear Nu-Metal still going strong! :D

I love this . I'm 45 born n breed into the nu metal era. This is a mix of slipknot and korn with deep lyrics from the hood. Their music would probably be bigger if they came out about 96 ,97... rage against the machine first album was head banging hood metal if I ever heard.. sorry u kids get caught up I. The limp biscuit cliq. But even their first album was good. Incubus first 2 albums were heavy. And body count brought us cop killer. Seputurra turn to soul fly and hed p.e took a 180 on their last couple albums.. I love heavy bass riffs good story telling mergi g of 2 music's I love. I just found king a lol over a year ago. The fact they can play many styles speaks volumes. But I also listen to reggas,blue,classic rock and Johnny cash. Even some good hippy music as long as I don't have to smell pechulee. However u spell it still stinks take a shower.
