Actually he was there. I watched it live on Polish TV, it was in 1998 or around, I was in high school then. It was a special event in Poland where Polish singing actors interpreted Nick's song. They invited him and he also performed a few songs from "Boatman's Call" as it was his newest album then. I was already a huge Nick fan and it was amazing.
