I like both versions... it's hard to pick. Clockers is low key a '90s classic. Some people didn't like it because it didn't have a whole lot of graphic violence like Menace II Society or Boyz N the Hood, but it was deep and emotionally surreal. Delroy Lindo and Isaiah Washington acted their asses off.

HOLD UP!!!! There is a Q-Tip version as well!!? I only discovered this song recently and the beat just slaps so hard. I listened to the whole soundtrack album this song was on. Songs like this are so nostalgic for me. I was just out of high school, first job, first apartment of my own, first long term girlfriend, dad (amazingly) bought me a pair of Technics SL 1210s, I started DJing in local bars, got on the radio once, taught myself how to scratch and beat juggle. I can even remember certain smells from that time when I listen to music like this (CK One cologne). Great memories.
