I think people were under the impression that Thug and Rich Homie were signed to Birdman. To clear up the confusion, neither one of them were not, Rich Gang was never a label, it was just a group. Rich Homie & Thug were never on Young Money or Cash Money. I think that’s one part people are confused about. Birdman had a lot of influence, and helped them BOTH appeal to a much bigger audience even faster, that’s how he was able to convince them to collab on a project. They weren’t gonna get paid from the actual project because it was a MIXTAPE, remember Lifestyle is not on there. They’ll get paid off Lifestyle because it’s an actual SINGLE that is AVAILABLE for purchase. The mixtape til this day is not available for purchase or streaming. They can make money from performing the songs on TOUR. But that’s about it.
