To each his own but I think some of the stuff we practice with our hair is anti-black. The whole concept of women having laid edges and men cutting and lining up their edges is wrapped up in a lot of anti-blackness dealing with our shame for our natural hair textures. I rock an afro but when I don't have an afro I'll get cornrows. I don't get a lineup though. I love my hair texture so I rock it proudly and that includes letting my edges grow.

@scorpionoir49524 ай бұрын
@@tonesheist8673 you can look good with your natural hair texture. You still maintain it without altering it's texture or cutting it off. Your view of natural black hair texture looking like a caveman is anti black whether you choose to believe it or not.

@@tonesheist8673 oh and I rock a big ass afro and can't nobody tell me my shit dont look bomb. I get compliments daily. It's usually other black people that tend to give me crazy looks because they don't embrace their natural black beauty so they have issuevwith me because I do.
@chocowaff2 ай бұрын
@@scorpionoir4952it’s not. Every culture across the world does things to themselves and their hair to make themselves look a big more presentable. Your view is like saying ‘when I wake up in the morning I don’t freshen up my hair, I just leave it the way it is, bed hair and all cause if I picked it out that’s anti-black’. A black person who lets their hair naturally lock could easily say the same thing about you and your Afro. It’s not anti-black it’s just common, every-day grooming. But like you said to each his own.
