Yeah it’s not fun whatsoever. I tried to mod it to its limit to have fun but the only way you’re going to get satisfied is to be an archer and just headshot people, even though 1 arrow in the head still doesn’t kill them. The setting is so cool though and hunting is really fun but the mechanics are horseshit m8.

The reason I bought it on pc was because I got it for $1 with the xbox game pass for a month, and I really enjoyed it up until the lockpicking, which is actually fucking impossible on console. This is by far the buggiest game i've ever played. Wait until you've hit 40-60 hours, you'll find bugs that require you to load every save twice in order to preserve your inventory. Wait/sleep bugs where advancing the time will CTD. This game is fucked. The only thing even worse than the game itself is the legion of fucking fan boys who defend this garbage all the way to the end. Some dude was bitching about how loading a save took a long time and another guy was just like "5-10 seconds for me, 190 hours no crashes, your pc is junk and you suck and is this your first RPG?" Have you seen their web page? It's even more broken than the game.

I live in a 3rd world country. I get only 5 gigabytes per day cap. The money plus waiting for the game to finish downloading(god it's so large man!) then what I got? A wannabe medieval world simulator. Seriously man battle animations are okay but clunky as hell. Enemies are basically... eh.. (is there a word for sword sponge? like bullet sponge? lol). It's bugged as hell. The story is boring and world is too large with not too much to explore. There is no fantasy element which makes it feel like I am walking through my nearest village. Honestly, living conditions here are so bad, i had option to buy me food for a week or get this game. I have played Witcher series, Skyrim, Dark Souls and shadow of mordor and after all the hype I thought this might be ultimate... what a waste. I had to starve and hate it. I am saving money so I can buy Doom Eternal when it releases. :)

The combat system in this game is shamefully broken, particularly as regards mass combat. First person point of view gives you too narrow a field of vision to cope with multiple opponents and obstacles. The code is written in such a way as to make you auto-target on every new enemy that attacks you. This results in retarded battles that resemble a game of virtual whack-a-mole, where you are the mole. Game sucks, bad.

The developers knew just how unforgiving the game is and that is why you're a blacksmiths son. The protagonist knows nothing about how the world works and the player hasn't got a clue about how the game works. And if you did get pushed back 10 hours due to glitches can I ask what you were doing for those ten hours? The game autosaves whenever you start or end a quest. And whenever you sleep. At most, you will get put back half an hour. In short, your just not the target demographic for this game.

This is why I don't like this engine. The problem with Cry: .Poor doc .Small community .For some system the code is practically impossible to read (i.e. physic! Hope you won't have any bug there!) .Very little example and tutorial .Archaic UI .Buggy editor .Asset pipeline hard to use and reserved for AAA production (not indie/one man team ready) and even then you will encounter problems. .Hugely rely on c++ code (not a pb IMO but that limit the userbase) .Flowgraph is as buggy and not friendly as Unreal3 Kismet was (the reason why Epic went with a new system) .Core code is heavily oriented toward FPS CryEngine is massively raw, to some that will be great but to most that will be awful. It took about 6 hours to integrate TressFX and then another 6 hours to update that to latest TressFX. It's raw-ness is both a pro and a con. CryEngine is a dream for the C++ literate, but is a complete nightmare for those that are not 100% literate in C++'s nuances. And then there was the problem with license (is it the same yet?): Quoting the license: Without limitation, the licensee shall not use the CryEngine for the development of any product other than Games, including without limitation: military projects gambling; simulation (technical, scientific, other); science; architecture; pornography; Serious Games. use the CryEngine for the development of any Games which are harmful, abusive, racially or ethnically offensive, vulgar, sexually explicit, defamatory, infringing, invasive of personal privacy or publicity rights, or in a reasonable person's view, objectionable; To some people this will not be an issue, but with the current culture residing in the west, what's not offensive to somebody? And what if a big point in my game is to make a point about racism? Bioshock couldn't have been made with this, since it's racially charged with all the antagonists being jews. What if I want to have sexually explicit scenes like in The Witcher? With CryEngine I don't have the freedom to put such things in my game.

This game honestly needed 6 more months in cert. But they already had 5 years. For sure it was unplayable and impossible to recommend on day 1, and they didn't deliver on everything. No crossbows,very small scale battles, shallow polearm combat, and the epilogue is really bad. Plus, very poor optimization . Console please and lower end PC players suffer so much Hopefully, the sequel will be better, since they got bought by THQ I think.

its super clunky and the AI in combat is an actual joke and it seems like everyone has different experiences. For me enemies just sprint into me until the shit lock on system breaks then they tackle me because the game thinks you're running away if you're not locked on in combat and instantly gets 6 hits off and destroys all my armor. When this happens and you're fighting 4+ people even with the OP head cracker skill you get fucked every single time and stealth killing or using bows in this game is no fun. I use full plate armor and switch between using a longsword and shield and short sword/axe.

@@corvonics6383 I'm just going to say that you are not playing right. You can actually lock onto a specific enemy. Swords are best used for poorly armored enemies but also works with medium armored enemies. Axes and maces are best used for plate armor because the weight of them can stagger enemies, leaving them open to chain attacks and combos. The ingame skills also change how effective you are with that weapon. So go to the arena and train for a few days.

@@maiqtheliar2465 that’s what everyone says is to go train but I’m level 20 in swords and 16 with axes and I can beat Bernard in a few hits I have 20+ hours on the save I’m playing now and if you say that’s not enough time (which a lot of people have they’ve told me I need like 100+) that’s ridiculous. Most people don’t have time to sit and grind a game for days on end and still the main thing that makes the combat so broken is the way the AI acts and when people do sprint until they’re literally inside of you I can never lock on to them in time to land a strike because you move so slow and if I don’t wear plate or heavy armor the moment you lose even a little stamina you’re taking half you’re health and what I said before about not being locked on in combat allows them to tackle you even if you’re looking directly at them makes it impossible to not get fucked over just because the AI and lock on system is shit. Taking in 1 or two people is a cakewalk but when it comes to any more it becomes a clusterfuck and if you’re max level and literally almost a master at fighting with two different kinds of weapons you think you’d be able to take out 3-6 rag tag bandits. It’s like you put time in to get nothing in return because it wants to be “realistic”

With a rtx 2080 ti and playing on 4K very high with enb graphics are top notch, there are no better graphics in any other game (I mean world graphics, characters faces are still dead eyed creepy hollows), just looking at the trees and buildings is amazing. Story ends at tutorial for me, then it goes to hell. Quests are meh too. Travelling the world is also mostly boring without mods for more encounters. Combat was shit at release, now at last patch its not bad but also not top notch.

the fact trhat its complicated isnt my issue the fact that it doesnt work and feels limp and unresponsive is i could power through learning combos and its weird parrying if i felt that they werent 90% win the game buttons and 10% just straight up doesnt work. @@unusualswoop7660 you come back to comment on my video on like a monthly basis and im just curious as to why you hang around to debate on a game you like with people who don't Honestly you enjoying it is cool more power to you I at no point wanted to dislike this game playing id love to share what clear passion you have for it I played for 26 hours and despite trying my best i couldnt get past how janky and irritating the glitches and AI were with combat that whilst it had good tutorials seemed to not jive well outside of them and was very inconsistent even when things like short combos were something i could do at the drop of a hat Im sure theyv probably been addressed in updates i know the devs have done a lot since this was near release and i understand the title of the video is inflammatory but i was really annoyed that something i was looking forward to and thought would be a lot of fun turned out a lot more broken than im willing to put up with even from a studio thats independant and crowdfunded Im not of the opinion that you should keep sticking with something until you enjoy it i think 26 hours is a more than fair chance for something regardless of how large in scale it is and where i got in the story I honestly cant remember i do remember enjoying the voice acting and characters and the historical significance and portrayal was spot on for me i only wish it felt as good to play as it did to watch -edit sorry to write you a novel

I bought this on eBay for $9.30 brand new, boring as fuck. By far the most dull and boring game I have ever played. Even on the Series X, the game still looks graphically like a game from 2007. The save function is a joke too. I’ll be uninstalling and probably will just throw the disc in the trash as I probably can’t get any money selling it.

Idk how this game was 2 years ago, and the combat, I think, is too complex and comes off poorly, but once you level up (12+) it's fairly easy. I haven't seen bugginess in my playthrough like this. Good game except the combat (which is only satisfying in 1v1 or 1v2 when the enemies don't fold in one strike) and AI.

MRFESTA1991 if you have a helmet and they hot they helmet not your flesh then yes it is realistic in real life even someone just wearing leather armor can not be stabbed or cut you need to find an opening

I think it's one of the greatest games of all time. I only hope they release more DLC and that the modding community jumps on it hard. I hope there is a sequel and that it's just as good.

This game is one of the few true RPGs of this gaming generation and it's amazing. Granted it has a steep learning curve, but I've put around 60 hours into it and I've barely come across any bugs. Maybe it's been updated since this video and these comments, but the people talking trash about it mostly sound like it's a personal problem for them, because my experience with the combat has been great. I think most gamers today are just used to playing hand-holding trash titles.

It got a lot of patches and bug fixes later down the road. Game is perfectly playable as of now. Amazing game
