as a hardcore kh fan, this video was great, actually had a ton of things i had no idea of. id love for more if you have more interesting stuff. i think something nice to mention in another video would be how you can level up valor form with some reaction commands, but not others. theres some weird ones like more famously mcp's rc, but for example cyclone and bat cry dont increase it i think. oh and the infinite jump exploit with going into drives to refresh aerial dodge (a bit more known but still cool).

Scripting, reproducing, recording and narrating is a time-consuming process, that's potentially a reason why videos like this (especially for KH) are quite uncommon. But KH2 is an amazing game, so I want as many people as possible to know all the jank you can do in it!

It's kind of amusing how many sound related bugs they managed to create in the ports. With some still persisting even today in the Steam port. Even 10 years after the HD port was released on PS3 some audio clips still refuse to play now. Recently got caught off-guard by silent Luxord again.

playing with KH2 rando made me really adore the "Roxas Wavedash" as I took to calling the quick run he does It's probably just because Roxas is (I imagine) a funky hacked-together Sora object, but I still can't help but wonder if some consideration was made for him to be slightly more playable. The fact that he gets a unique dual keyblade moveset just for Axel 2 makes me wonder. (at least, I don't think it's just boneless Valor) Also even if it's only the tiniest of oddities it's kind of a shame we're unlikely to ever get our hands on the actual software version of the cloud games on switch, just to pick them apart. Realistically it's likely just a slightly early port of the EGS build, but still. I assume there's probably not much but i can't help but wonder what else is in the kiosk demo files. Like yeah it's just more of KH2 if anything but it is curious.

Yes, the soft reset mod does suffer from an audio dropping issue. However, I don't think you can soft reset on the main menu, so you can't ever create the multi layered music bug.

I imagine the soft reset wasn't ever intended as a cut feature outside the demo. It was meant to return to title screen in case one wanted to play the other map.

I'll admit my coding knowledge is not amazing, but I know enough that I can say the dialogue box asking if you want to go back to the title screen doesn't (shouldn't, at least) do anything in itself outside of running a set of code that properly directs the game through the motions of a soft reset if the player selects yes, and simply removes the box if they say no. So I fail to understand how they couldn't make it so doing the soft reset code can't just... direct the game to those lines of code. Or, IDK, just cause the return to title option to pop up and pause the gameplay in the background, so it still has to go through the motions of that particular popup. if that's so very vital to how they coded it. I'm honestly so very baffled. Can the modders not get it to work like that despite me thinking it shouldn't be that hard, have they not tried, or is that actually already an option if you're playing on PC?

in case you are gonna make one for KH1 i got something for ya, when you first land in traverse town after destiny islands you can jump on the sliding roof and jump onto the roof of the accessory shop, there you can bypass an invisible wall. If you leave the first district without activating the trigger the game is softlocked in traverse town. It wont be possible to leave or progress the game at all. I first discovered this on the PS4 version and it exist in every version since

… the soft reset is in the PlayStation version of the 1.5 + 2.5 collection. You can do it on any of the games in the collection

Wrong. You can soft reset all the other games in the collection, but you cannot soft reset in KH2.

Thanks for the sub! To clarify, the second bug is not exclusive to any remaster. It can be recreated on all versions of KH2 with video proof existing for at least the original KH2 English release.
