The whole scene after fighting roxas, especially the clock tower scene (45:50 onward) is one the saddest in the game, and our little now thinks it's really fitting for us. Like, yk, questioning of you're really real, have a heart/body, or if you're just an empty husk... this game is really important, precisely because of that. There are some parts of the story where the Disney-typical happy end comes through, and that can be nice too, but the really contemplative scenes like this are why I keep coming back to it, there just are not that many peices of media seriously discussing these things without overt moralizing, and the sombre tone of this scene especially is something we rarely encounter anywhere... it deeply embodies the ambivalence of the tear: that it, while laughing or crying, stays the same.

i agree.. this game has a much somber tone than the first game.. and i like that you mentioned about the empty husk.. now i feel like this game has a nihilistic approach but in a more family friendly way ☺️

Don't forget Sora knew where Kairi was, (she was safe on Destiny island as far as he knew) he had no clue what happened to Riku. People always incorrectly assume that Sora was less concerned about Kairi but the second he knew that she was in danger he was on his hands and knees begging to be taken to where she was.

52:24 i guess technically his sword is rikus keyblade but its not revealed to be a keyblade until kingdom hearts dream drop distance

Funny you mention Riku's eyes not being *that* blue. They were definitely more like Sora's back in 1 and Chain of Memories! But now that he's accepted darkness, he's got a bit of yellow added to his blue eyes, making them more blue-green/teal! You also asked about Riku's left hand at 1:07:36. That's from his fight with Roxas. He broke Riku's wrist.

When you do the triangle special with a team member you could do X as well in this last battle with Riku you have to press X and triangle

Such a great game gotta catch a live stream. Loving your journey. Also I can’t stress this enough tissue box will be needed for 358/2 days and make sure to get the dlc it has extra scenes that better details the story a little better

@@skyeifer dlc for kingdom hearts 1.5 and 2.5 it come with all the cutscenes for kh1 since it originally didn’t have that option to just have theater mode and extra scenes for 358/2 days

It's never made clear, but roxas and axel could easily have a romantic relationship. I like to think of it that way. Also, the reason we fight roxas when we do is probably a combination of him mourning axel, and also being stronger in the world that we're in. Also, sora is so stupid sometimes. Everyone calls him roxas and he sees him in the photo, but doesn't think the stranger he is fighting could be him 😂 Did you notice that each organisation member has an associated nobody type they control? Roxas' samurai ones are an absolute pain to defeat, which I think is quite fitting. I think everyone in kh is hot in their own way 😂 thank you for appreciating luxord, he is underrated.
