Old Master Xehanort grabbing his opponent and slaming them into the ground... Is kinda one of his signature moves - he does the same to Terra in BBS during their final fight - in KH3 it is a callback to this move.

His heart was trapped to be the cum guardian. His body was taken over by Xehanort. His will possessed his armour. When Terranort destroyed the armour, his will and heart were reunited. Hence why he was unable to break free until now

(Spoilers for ReMind) The way I see it, Terranort was Terra's body, the Guardian was his heart being controlled, and Lingering Will was his willpower. When LW is destroyed while saving Sora in ReMind, his willpower returned to his heart, allowing it to over power Xehanort's control

It was stated long ago that the guardian is NOT Terra's heartless, and it can't be because Xehanort didn't steal Terra's heart he inserted his own heart into Terra's body and since he was stronger he took control, however there were moments where Terra's heart fought back, mainly during the fight against Aqua in radiant garden so Xehanort locked terra's heart inside the guardian, but forced split is what caused terra-xehanort amnesia when Ansem the Wise found him

It’s a long complicated story involving time travel but Ventus basically was unconscious at the end in Union X. And when the world was falling to darkness. Ventus, Lauriam, and Elrena were sent to the future to save themselves. Sent to random points in the future. Ventus was sent to the keyblade graveyard where old man Xehanort would find him and try to use him to summon the X-Blade. Which lead to vanitas being born bla bla bla, Ventus getting amnesia bla bla bla. It’s confirmed in Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix that Xigbar was the one who found Lauriam and Elrena when the organization was being formed. Which I think implies he was the one that turned them into Marluxia and Larxene.

I don't remember if it's actually revealed. But I think "the girl" that Lea and Isa befriended and tried to rescue is Kairi. They say that she was his lab rat, but that one day right before they were turned into Nobodies, she just vanished. Which would line up with Kairi being thrown to Destiny Islands closely after Terranort arrived at Radiant Gardens. Plus, as he was experimenting on Hearts, him stumbling across someone with a Pure Heart would DEFINITELY be someone he'd find worthy of experimentation.

Actually, it used the generic 'sad music' track from KH2: "Missing You". The same one that plays during scenes such as Beast telling Belle she should leave the castle. A completely new orchestration of Destati fits the scene much better in my opinion, although a version of the scene without music might actually be an interesting rendition.
