it's cute, but (as is an issue with most bosses that talk), the combat moves so fast that characters repeat these lines over and over in a way they didn't in KH2. so like, i'd adore it, if she didn't say it ten times a minute

@Tum Tum to be fair - I still think that Data-Xion fight armored state would look better if she put on her Nobody KB armor from Days instead of simply glowing.

I did not watch a single trailer for this DLC and it was all worth it. EVERYTHING surprised me, especially the airborne fight vs the Replicas. I encourage you all to not watch the trailers for the sake of an amazing experience.

The only complaint left for me is no Colosseum mode. That was a big part of the grinding process for me. Some of the more enjoyable and memorable fights in KH1 and 2 were all the cool optional mini bosses and bosses it had. And you always would get good rewards for it too. There was always a complaint about lack of life in the colosseum but now with present day consoles we could battle as Sora (or any other character honestly) in Colosseum type matches with actual crowds of people in the background cheering. More people could be in the stands as you progress later in the cup. The Battlegates were meh to me but good for farming materials. But yea, other than the lack of Colosseum, every other complaint I had was pretty much addressed and fixed bringing a good game up to a great game for me.

You couldn't grind with KH2's Underground Coliseum. You could in KH1, but in KH3 you have the Battle Gates.

I would love that. It would be a good opportunity to put bosses that don't fit into the story, like Sephiroth, Cloud and the RG crew. Maybe when you finish the Disney worlds, Chip and Dale can say there's some kind of tournament at the Coliseum, like they do in KH1. Oh, and playable Mysterious Tower so that the game doesn't just throw you into the endgame as soon as you exit the final Disney world.

The fact that they left Colosseum out in my opinion was just them being lazy. Hate that they included it in the first two games and just forgot about it. Not to mention our Cloud and Sephiroth battle that was never concluded.

I just finished this episode last night after binging it straight through because of how amazing the ending is now. I'm facing the Limit Cut bosses and I am having a difficult time I have to say. Would farming for defense boosts help? Or would I have to backtrack and get the Ultima weapon in my main save file?

Ultima Weapon will help you do a lot more damage if you choose to do a form change, defense boosts may help but I don't know in my head what number of defense you need to get them to do less damage to you, but I believe the higher your strength is above the number 72 the more damage you'll do with boosts from then on.

@@Soraalam1😅 I guess I need to backtrack quite a lot then! Your tutorial guides will get a lot of viewing minutes from me alone trying to grind through all of the mini-games, item gathering, gummi ship adventuring, and whatever other content I skimmed through trying to beat the game last year to avoid the story being spoiled for me. I'm not sure what strength I'd be at level 41, but I have a feeling it's nowhere near 72. I don't know if I'll have the patience to gather that many hungry crystals to synthesize the amount of defense boosts I would want so I'll see where getting to level 99 would get me. I was hoping to defeat Ansem a few times and grind defense boosts without having to backtrack but I can't even get past the first few health bars without getting killed easily. Part of me wants to get good at the timing of his fight but I don't know if the time commitment for that would be better saved for backtracking altogether? I feel like I'd backtrack solely to get the Mickey Clasp, Crystal Regalia, and the Flanniversary Badge so I can recharge my MP a lot faster. I wonder if having a higher MP means that recharging would take that much longer? That MP Hastera during the Ultima form change would help stack on top of that too come to think of it. The Overcome ability alone is the reason for getting the Ultima weapon when all I have left to do is defeat tough opponents. I wanted to make sure that my suspicions were correct and that I needed to backtrack. I'm definitely not a level 1 runner by any means. If that were the case, I'd have to rely on timing with no room for errors. Thank you for taking the time to respond. I know you probably have a bunch of comments to read through and I'm appreciative of everything you do for the KH community.

The one thing I can't believe is how much everyone went down like chumps. Even the Lingering Will was turned into a chump. What I'd have done was have it that Lingering Will being ganged up on by the other organization members. If I really had the power I'd make him playable against four of them at a time, each immediately replaced when defeated, with none holding back, and if you actually won you'd get an alternate cutscene where he just straight up wins.

I feel like playing the japanese version kinda runs some things. Sure personal preferences and all that but how can you get used to using ○ as the attack button. Plus there's the triangle command names that have more meaning if you can actually read them

Sora probably won't have armor because Sora will always travel world to world in the gummi ship. As for the Wayfinder trio didn't use the armor in the Keyblade Graveyard... that's a good point.

I love that people do love the game now, but I'm kinda worried if all people want are KH2FM clones cause creativity is gonna be stifled and the series will get stale if they don't get to do what they want. KH3 was amazing for this, until the DLC. And don't get me wrong I love the DLC so so much, but I hope they don't always have to be forced back to what they have done before just to please people

Here's the thing. Speaking for myself and others that I know (not every single person), we don't want a KH2FM "clone". Just a game that has the general snapiness and responsiveness that KH2FM had, the abilities that make you feel fast and powerful, the blows that hit hard. The game balance, the good boss design, the options and tools. New games don't have to be a clone to achieve that, and I'd say KH3 right now is not at all a 2FM clone, it just added some of the stuff people like about KH2FM to it while at the same time fixing the games previous responsiveness issues. That level of natural progression of taking the things that worked in a game like KH2FM (not every single thing ever, just the philosophies behind said things), and then building upon it and adding new stuff to reach new heights is all that's needed.

I gotta disagree this game was everything I feared. They charged you $30 for them to fix everything wrong with the story. Literally everything we saw here should have been in the main game as everything was to cover plot holes left in the vanilla game
