This was quite the fight. Never have I before fought a Boss that turns back time in order to reset part of his Health. Although I could Usually Defeat him after 2 or 3 resets, I realized he was cheating, breaking his own rules. "You can only travel Forward in time." So I was wondering if that had something to do with the battle. Then I noticed him getting less HP back each time and after 3 or 4 he looked like he was in pain. It's the little details and mechanics in this fight that really made it shine for me and makes it one of my favorite in the series.

That sounds like you didn't attack him at all during the time reverse phase. Or maybe you did? I don't remember if he gains less HP each time if you don't attack him at all. What I do know though is that you can finish him off the first time he reverses time.

Reversing time is not exactly the same as time travel, well; it's just reversing time but only by a few minutes. I think the rule is you cannot travel back further in time by days, months and years. Only by minutes and seconds alone, as such; that's how time magic can be used in KH.

I'm unsure. But after a while the 13 dark key wielders or whatever they were going by had to disappear back to their time in KH3D because "their time was up". So the same rules for time travel may have applied there in BBS as well, which is why he had to leave.

exactly on A. Riku's heart succumbed to darkness in KH1, and it was revealed, both by Terra's Lingering Sentiment in KH2FM+, and Terra himself in BBS, that Sora was not the one Terra chose to inherit the keyblade. Instead, it passed on to Sora once Riku had weakened his own heart, because Sora's heart still held strong. Riku managed to regain a keyblade, which, oddly enough, I would say is made of both light and darkness. (odd, I say, because Xehanort's Reports in KH:BBS mention...

For those confused about this Boss Fight, let me explain: When Young Xehanort (which I will shorten to YX for the sake of space) says “Time, STOP!” and disappears, you CAN attack the Clock that appears in the center of the Arena. If you do, his Clones will attack you just as the Mysterious Figure’s clones did from KHBBS’ Secret Boss. If you manage to deplete the Clock’s HP BEFORE YX rewinds time, you immediately win the fight. If not, he will rewind the fight to the beginning, but will have about half the health he began with before stopping and rewinding time. This trend continues until he only has one long bar of HP left and one extra/mini bar under the long one. He was not breaking the rules of time. He was just traveling to the beginning of the fight while retaining the damage from before he traveled. He isn’t cheating if he doesn’t recover. Hope this clears everything up! Side note: I fought through the entire game, with both characters on Critical mode. It is entirely possible to defeat YX during the first Clock Rewind. You just have to be patient, get really good at Guarding (HAVE RIKU’S DARK BARRIER OR YOU’RE SCREWED), and Double Flight with Strike Raid, Firaga Burst and (maybe) Balloonra and Ballonga. Yes, most bosses and enemies are weak to Balloon Magick in this game. Weird, but effective. Especially on YX. Edit: before yall decide to roast me saying I basically memorized the bosses by playing on Beginner, Standard and Proud, NO. I DID NOT. MY FIRST RUN THROUGH THE GAME WAS ON CRITICAL MODE. I did the same for Birth By Sleep and I’m doing that for KH3 as of the time of this Edit. So I went into the YX fight with absolutely no knowledge of how to win against him ùnú

Reddo Deado it was *really fun* imo. I’ve never played any of the titles that had the Critical Mode option available (but I have olayed KH1, 2, 358/2, and Re:Coded on Proud; never got around to Re:CoM ^^;;;;). I loved the difficulty cuz it really made me have to plan everything out and research boss weaknesses... although... everyone’s weak to balloons in KH3D ^^;;;;;;;

Also, for the people commenting about secret bosses, Julius is easy. At first he is aggravating, but once you get used to his attacks you can slaughter him. Even on Critical mode I wreck him. Violently. My favorite secret boss was MF because he provides a legitimate challenge no matter how many times you fight him. Sephy is cool and all, but becomes highly predictable. Armor of the Master and No Heart were too broken to be fun to fight again. MF was done well because he is all over your shit XD

I think the clock was just his keyblade, ymx himself was already traveling through time when he disappeared. you interrupted this with the reality shift ability, causing time to travel forward normally without him, so he sends his clones a few minutes through time to stop you from breaking the keyblade's time ability so that it rewinds time properly.

His attacks in 3D are a bit weird to get used to, but they are gimmicky, really. Once you understand how they work, he's a piece of cake. So, yes, he's annoying until you figure him out. In BBS, he'll almost always be a challenge because of his broken strength, and pray to god that Thunder Surge hits him.

Well you also have to remember that Xigbar/Braig has had half of Xehanort with him for around 11 years now. Also it's likely Xehanort didn't put his whole being into Braig back then because he knew he was going to use him to block Aqua and Ventus and if Braig was killed that would be a portion of his heart that he probably couldn't get back and didn't want to risk that then.

if you did have to fight young xehanort like you did in bbs then it would be to easy in this game. all you would need is balloonaga,dark splicer and maybe zantetsuken to give you time to charge your cure commands. you didn't really have that luxury in bbs. also rikus blocking in this game is so great that all you would need to do is block then counter attack since his counter attack deals out fast and big dammage which is why they made young Xehanort more of a range fighter in this game

The new organisation XIII is composed of Xeharnort and 11 others vessels with a part of his heart (Sora should have been the last one). That's mean the others vessels get a keybalde. However, they still have theirs originals abilities. For example in BBS, you can fight young Xehanort which use etheral blades. Xehanort need 7 keyblade of light and 13 keyblade of darkness to fight in order to create a new Keyblade war.

Yes. That along with (spoilers) Xigbar only using his duel pistols as usual. Even though they share fragments of Xehanort's heart similar in how Sora holds Ventus's, it's doubtful they inherited the ability to wield the keyblade. It's been explained one can lose that ability after being consumed by darkness, and seeing as those fragments are pure darkness anyways, they probably can't transfer the ability to wield one.

Keyblades of Light, darkness, and heart, but neither of them mixed, except for the X-blade. DDD reveals the core essence of the X-Blade to be 7 forms of light and 13 of darkness, and also clarifies the passing of the Kingdom Key to sora. Kairi gained Destiny's Embrace in KH2. Roxas, one could indeed say, inherited the keyblade from Sora, though that too is a mystery as Roxas shares Ventus's features. Ventus, Terra, and Aqua were all trained to be keyblade bearers, which makes sense for them.

simple. 1st he must leave his body behind (kinda like temperarily becoming a heartless) 2nd, there must be a version of you waiting at the destination. (in otherwords you can only go to points in time where you are alive) 3rd. you can only go in one direction per stop. 4th you can't change the events destined to happen. 5th after all is said and done, you must are forced to lose all the memories of the experience. (in otherwords forget you timetraveled at all)

, just use your commands effectively and use dark barrier and dark roll for dark roll gives you invincibility when rolling use wide spread damage like meteor or mega flare always bring curagas and use your spirit combination wisely like in his clock form also the best spirit combination I know is that of a Keeba tiger an Aura lion and either a tyranto rex or a skelterwild also note use quadruple damage like shadow breaker and ice breaker hope this helps

Actually L'Impeto Oscuro does mean Dark Surge Dark Impetus is Dark Impulse This song is a remix of Dark Impetus, given that several aspects of Dark Impetus are in this. Either way, it's the same dude, and he is still difficult as fuck
