Hello, i am just starting to get into Kingdom Hearts and Final fantasy, ive tried doing some research but im curious ; Does kingdom hearts affect/alter Final Fantasy characters/story ? I know they take place in the same universe and are seperate franchises that often make many cameos but i wanna play the games in order and idk if start with KH or FF

The two franchises are separated and are not connected canonically nor are in the same universes. If you are interested in the KH franchise, you can pick up the 1.5 + 2.5 HD Remix thats available on all platforms and start with the first game For the Final Fantasy franchise, the numbered titles are not connected either and are their own individual stories, so you can pick up any of them. The most popular is Final Fantasy 7, so you can begin there or my personal favorites: Final Fantasy 10, 9, or 6 are also good choices.
