The moon of Endor, or just Endor or the outer rim would be a perfect world for kingdom hearts and its themes- redemption of darth Vader after you potentially fight him with Luke to then have all three fight the emperor is something that would fit in with kingdom hearts perfectly. Just from the timeline context clues and how massive Star Wars and KH4 were trending hand-in-hand right after the 20th anniversary event, it seems like that would definitely determine the [new] direction the series can take. I'd even dare to say maybe other talks could've potentially been made with Marvel and Fox. But bare minimum, Star Wars would indeed get Nomura giddy and coy on stage to tease this hard.

Concerning how you said kh4 will incorporate more of the real world, I would like to add that it's always been there to a lesser degree in the series. I recently replayed kh1 and the Deep Jungle level has a map of Africa, while in Neverland, they come to London atop Big Ben.

Kingdom Hearts with out Disney worlds will not be Kingdom Hearts any longer. There has been a lot of legal stuff happening, mainly with the Public Domain. This could be if not one of, but THE one issue that is changing the direction of the game. Disney is fighting court battles now because quite a few of their characters, mainly the oldest, Mickey are approaching their trademark fate. The next characters by creation date is Goofy and then Donald a couple of years later. Disney is trying to keep their characters out of the public domain which can impact the KH franchise for sure.

Well, he mentioned that it happened after the event last year. That would be the 20th anniversary event, I’d assume. They also had a fan Q&A on Twitter and Nomura answered some fan questions. A lot of the questions were about the past story arc, like Isa’s scar, Demyx’s identity, the backstory of why Riku summoned Kairi’s Keyblade in KH2. One of the most liked questions from that Twitter thread was about the teaser for BBSV2 and whether those ideas are shelved or if they could be revisited. After KH3 released in 2019, Nomura was kinda dismissive when he was asked some of these questions and said he wanted a blank page. I suspect the company wanted him to leave Xehanort and all of the Dark Seeker Saga baggage behind and focus only on the new plot with Quadratum. Maybe the change in direction means he’s been given the green light to revisit some of his older story ideas. “Missing Link” is very telling for a title. It seems to exist just to fill in the blank parts of the story that KH3 didn’t touch on.

If anything, they would have less to no FF characters through the rest of the series instead of removing the Disney aspect. KH has gotten its own identity now and doesn't need to rely on it's parent series for sales help anymore, though I'd still like to make an appearance or at least a reference to some FF character, The Sephiroth and Cloud battle has still never been resolved but at this point I highly doubt it will be. We already saw no FF characters in KH 3, and they only got added in Re:Mind briefly due to fan demand. Either way, I'm excited for whatever this new chapter in the KH series has in-store for us

I think it's more about the games themselves. like there will be a completely different type of gameplay or something. since square has done similar things in the past with final fantasy, I think it's not that big of a leap. maybe, for instance, we dont world hop anymore and it takes place in an open world or the hack and slash gameplay itself will be heavily updated. who knows?

I am more than down with this, like worlds from more adult disney properties, or maybe characters have to undergo more serious conflicts both inner and outer, or maybe the story itself is putting many characters aside in favor of the new ones. I found a transcript, it could apply to two scenes. Basically she contacts him through his connections to peoples' memories and tells him how his heart/body are possessed, and that he should keep fighting so that he can help Aqua. I originally thought it could apply to the Lingering Will's appearance in 3, but I think it's more related to him freeing himself from Terranort in order to save Sora, Ven, and Aqua.

I'm kinda torn, i'm not sure where the games could go from here but the idea of Disney letting down the flood gates and making all owned IPs fair game for Kingdom Hearts would be huge for possibilities. Big Hero 6 was already a slight step towards including the MCU, so I'd like to see where that could go. I wonder how a Star Wars world could work though since the movies take place over many different "worlds" already. My best guess is basically a Death Star as a world with space based combat. star wars does seem to be a great choice for kingdom hearts not just for "brand synergy" but from a thematic standpoint as well since lets be honest here there are a lot of thematic similarities between the 2 brands. my bigest fear is not KH adding star wars to its roster of worlds but rather the MCU as i feel with that still being the biggest franchise disney has they might push that hard and there is little to no thematic synergy between the 2 brands outside of the idea of the multiverse

Firstly, I'm gonna basiclly debunk everything you said. About Disney owning anything in kingdom hearts . Everytime people say Sora is based on mickey mouse. That is a miss conception. Sora is based on Enix character Sion from the bouncer on the ps2. If you remove the mickey chain like what happened in Super Smash Bros Ultimate Disney has no copyright. The Chain itself is just a refference which Disney allows. The reason the keyblade is used the Mickey Mouse cartoons is for publicity reasons. Nothing more nothing less. Second, the kh series has been moving away from the disney worlds for a while. That's nothing new . The real change appears to be Square-Enix is moving from the staple kh formula and mixing the gameplay with the Final Fantasy Versus concepts so those assets don't go to waste. Meanwhile, branching into other Final Fantasy worlds. Due, to the more realistic art styles. I assume FF7- 13 could be used since, those games fit the art style more than the Disney worlds . You do have some points about, the concerts . Otherwise everything else seems to be gossip rather than, facts or data that could have some truth to what you say .

I think it will be a "separation" from Disney's others ips, but not a total cut out of it. Disney dose own the KH ip, but they would still presumably want square to develop in a way that would make it a good holistic property. If that means cutting back on Disney stuff, I think they would be willing to do that depending on how it would be gone about. Especially if they got to do more in depth dives in to a Disney world instead of the current formula of 5-7 worlds. It very much felt with KH3 that the problem with the worlds is that they weren't given enough room to explore because they had to put creative time to so many. Like, Herc, big6, toystory, monsters inc, frozen, tangled, pirates, and Winne the pooh? Those are a lot of big creative spaces to develop concepts for. Tangled, monsters inc, and toystory would have been difficult enough, esp with tangled and monsters inc (comparatively anyhow) being more obscure ips that you can't really rely on pop culture zeitgeist to have infused people with the knowledge to understand. Then you add big6 on it and some of the more obscure pirates titles? Ouch.

But besides that the question still remains how do you have Sora in the Star Wars worlds without him absolutely breaking everyone there? And my biggest worry would be to adapt the entire universe and power systems

I don’t think the Disney content is the issue. I think it’s the direction of the series that is becoming an issue. The lore of the games are incredible but I’m sure having a game that will kickstart the next arc is difficult to determine which direction to go. It will take time but I’m sure the game will be incredibly good.

I also want Tangled world to be like a sequel to the movie but not a retelling of the cartoon but only leave out the part where Rapunzel get's her long blonde hair and healing power's back. I really think the Moana world should be retold exactly like the original movie with the song's "You're Welcome", "How Far I'll Go", "Shinny", "I am Moana", and "I Know Your Name" sung in there. The most likely remaining three new princess's of heart's are most likely to be Moana, Tiana(The Princess and The Frog) and Merida(Brave).

Disney world will be the portal to the disney world. Its gonna take place in the real world. Sora gonna basically have to use the power rex uses in the end game dlc when he wakes up in the care. Sora gonna be searching for his friends. Well donald and goofy search for sora. Maybe sora meet donald and goofy in each disney world and that how we keep the 3 together. He alone in the real world, maybe having new compains here.
