I agree, they didnt even allow kairi to be playable in the free mode. Its jarring, They shoulda just made chirithy the narrator instead of using kairi as clickbait

I agree! That original chirithy idea was way better, almost looks like being a narrator is as good as it gets for her. You know, if they pulled out a Re:Mind and right their wrongs I would accept what they did in MoM, but lately it's always like this, it's kinda tiring! Let's see where they go next :)

this whole game just screamed cash grab and here the thing i would have bought the game because i played the demo it looked interesting but not at $60 thats way to much especially when most of it is recycled assets i would rather buy the persona dancing games because they have a actual story and remixed music and new assets and i hate to say that because im a much bigger kh fan then a persona fan. im really hoping the series gets better i really do. i love the series. but they are not making it easy for me

One of the only things that got me interested in MoM is the few flashbacks scenes of Kairi and apprentice Xehanort through Kairi's point of view. Further than that I had no expectations for this game, I tried to keep positive with what we atleast would get out of it, I atleast enjoyed that he got some cutscenes focused on her only. Although I'm still disappointed that Kairi keeps getting treated like a plot-device, and even in this game where she's 'the narrator', I want to trust Square Enix in what they're doing but seeing how they treat Kairi and then let Sora finish the final battle against name-of-the-man-who-should-have-been-long-death in the Final World makes me really sad, not to mention Kairi had to be shoved into training again in her own (my apologies for this comment being so long). EDIT: gameplay was still pretty fun, despite having been waiting for this game to maybe have some cutscenes between the words you play, I guess it only happend near the very end.

It's really hard at this point, and this is more a product of my sadness than my rage tbh, but at this point we're all in this together, let's hope for a better next chapter! I personally loved Melody of Memory from a gameplay point of view. It's fun, the worlds are beautiful, I love that they made the Days and BBS Trio's playable in teams, because it's always great to control the other Keyblade heroes, and the music is beautiful as always and this is a great tribute. However I agree about Kairi. I was disappointed that she wasn't given a team to play with, and that we didn't get to have the final battle be her vs Xehanort. This was a fake Xehanort so who cares if she was able to beat it? I'm also bummed she's stuck training. I wanted her to go on a adventure with Riku to save Sora. I think it will come but we just have to wait more, sadly.

Its like...I guess it had to be done so that Xehanort would say "I know where you are" to sora...but I dunno I would've rather like Kairi gotten to use kingdom key or something. Sora's connected but not legit saving her AGAIN from her OWN memory of Xehanort not even legit Xehanort. And it was such a badass animated fight before SORA had to come in xp. I'll feel a bit better about kairis character if she actually gets to be badass with Aqua but I don't have confidence in that. She's really been chumped 2 games in a row but had a keyblade since kh2. Really, her at the end of that game with a keyblade beating up a few heartless is the extent of her usefulness :P. Also, I think it's weird how Fairy Godmother is now like, the exposition QUEEEN, lemme just take you over to the Final World..."Dreams are my specialty even though I wasn't in Dream Drop..." The added depth that Ansem found Destiny Island because of Kairi is a cool detail IMO. It would be Ironic if Riku actually goes somewhere unrelated to ~Shibuya~, since it's called Quadratum. In Latin it's means a building technique with square blocks to make rectangular buildings.... It depends who the nameless star is... Is he going where the foretellers just where before Luxu summoned them back or whenever the Dandelions went? Is it one in the same or what? I'm assuming the "world of fiction" is tied to the age of "fairytales" in someway. Also since Verem Rex was a fictional game in a time displaced Toy Story :p. I see us getting at least 2 games. Scala gang and Riku game, which could also be DDD 2. Twewy 2 may even tie into it who even knows lol. Game itself is honestly bad judging from the demo, barely a rhythm game. Boss fights look like the only good part of the game, but I'm not paying 60 bucks.

It might make sense that she needs to train, it's why the fans mock her for being weak. Don't forget that Sora didn't get it easy for the mark of mastery test, which of course failed. Yet he had to save master Riku's ass and wasn't even a "keyblade master." It seems to me that Nourma lost his touch. And that's okay, doesn't mean I hate kingdom hearts, I hate how it's treated and disrespected.

The thing with her training is that she had already trained, and that was not enough, and now she needs training again, but she can never have her own experience and go on her own adventures. I could definitely close both eyes if they actually started doing the right thing with her character (and many others, Aqua was done dirty too in KH3 for example, but they tried to right their wrongs with remind), but almost sounds like they just can't sometimes, and Nomura has also written some amazing female characters, so what's the deal with Kairi? I wonder. Kairi would be an amazing character, because she has that damsel in distress but taken a step above vibe to her, but she needs development, even her fighting stance looks really similar to Sora's, whereas Axel, Ventus, Riku, Aqua and Terra (for example) have very unique ones, I kinda want her to be herself, but also "evolve"! I am extremely curious about where they are going next with Quadratum and the character, let's see what they do next!

I agree on what they did with Aqua. The problem is that KHIII wasn't it's right length to address their characters climax. It seems to me that they need to market this game with every Ad, cause they know this game wasn't strong to hold it's candle. Who makes a rhythm game costly more than the main series titles?

@@hi-xig.3516 you could argue that she actually might be on an adventure with Aqua at some point, but I think the “training” is more so her trying to become a master. Don’t forget, Sora has rarely ever been on an adventure by himself completely. There no doubt he probably doesn’t need one now, but in KH2 both Riku and Sora were needed to defeat Xemnas. She needs to prepare and get stronger so she can face threats like that on her own. I will say Lea/Axel has kinda gotten away with this fact because he has A LOT more experience than Kairi when it comes to fighting. She just started in KH3, which if you think about it means she only trained for the necessary amount of time that she needed in order for her to be strong enough. Even Master Xehanort says she is pretty good (which is a compliment coming from someone as powerful as him). She is strong, but in KH fashion, certain plot chooses when and where the characters are either gods or weak. In Re:Mind she is super strong, had a lot of light attacks, zips around everywhere, and does so much, but in here those flashy moves are gone. I think it’s important that we understand she has made A LOT of progress from being a Damsel in Distress. Riku was right in this scenario though as much as I disagree with it. They don’t know whats on the other side and literally just heard that the “third key’s” heart would be consumed had she went back to her world. She might be a hinderance or a burden for Riku. Plus Sora died for Kairi to survive, so it would be pointless if she got hurt after trying to rescue him back

Kairi didn’t complete her training, she was forced out of it near the end of KH3, she even says it again at the end dog MoM, “I still need to finish my training”. I’m sure after ACTUALLY training with a human being physically instead of a retired old man is gonna make Kairi strong, this time she will help Riku save sora. What the point of her risking her life and Riku’s if she’s weak ? She will be a burden to Riku and sora, and will do more harm than good if she went there without being fully trained. She will come back in the next game, Kairi WILL be the character we all want her to be and she WILL save sora.

Maybe it's because I never saw this as a Kairi game, but I've always just seen this as a rhythm game with future elements tied on in the end. As for Kairi herself, yeah I'm kind of sick of her being sidelined, but at the same time she hasn't really done any actual combat or training outside of 3. In terms of usefulness, Lea had basically the same thing happen to him. I mean, did you really expect Kairi, a massively untrained wielder to beat Xehanort without help? Now that she's training with an actual current Master, I feel like we're going to get an actual Kairi game soon. After all, the Foretellers are back, and while Sora and Riku are away, she's the only main character that can actually do anything. I'm very much looking forward to an actual Kairi game and whatever ends up happening with Quadratum.

The thing that many people are pointing out is that she fought Xehanort in her memory, it's not the real Xehanort, and technically she herself beats him, but she transforms into Sora to be able to! That's kinda the sad part, but I understand where you're coming from. I also think this game is a very good rhythm game, saying otherwise would be a huge lie, I think it's a disappointing KH game though :/ I want this saga to be so good, I love it to pieces. And I can't help it but be curious about the future of the saga, hoping that next time Kairi will really have her spotlight.

@@hi-xig.3516 Well, considering it's the Xehanort of her memory, wouldn't it make even more sense for her to lose? She remembers him being insanely strong and him killing her after all. Plus, I don't think she necessarily transformed into Sora, I think it was Sora doing what he did in Re:Mind to help her out. The way Xehanort reacts after all, shows it was actually him, right?

Sora should be trapped in Quadratum and Xehanort dead though, feels a bit forced in my opinion :/ they still have time to fix it though if that's the case, I just hope they don't retcon things too much!

@@hi-xig.3516 Sora is trapped in Quadratum, but his heart isn't. The bond him and Kairi share is strong enough for him to do that. He just can't actually communicate, which is why Xehanort was so certain of where he was. What he meant by Memory Xehanort being so strong rest that Kairi personally knew how strong he was, so her memory version of him is as strong as he was most likely.

I got it for the rhythm game. Not only was I disappointed by that in the end of things, but also the slapped in story they could have just made a short thing on youtube or in kh3's ReMind. Lack of customizibility. Lack of a lot, including the lack of Kairi

I agree 100%. they really need to ditch Sora and Riku when it comes to the side games and focus ONLY on the characters that haven't seen ANY action yet. seeing the ending of MOM. I'm starting to lose even more interest in the franchise going forward.

The game is worse than disappointing----it doesn't feel like it's finished, let alone tested before being released! It goes TOO fast (and with too much enemies sometimes in the way which gives you barely any time to react without missing), and the controls are awkward and unresponsive. Even if I push the right button at the right time, it feels like I missed when I TRULY DID NOT!! It only tells you you hit it or not when it ONLY FEELS LIKE IT! This is a prime example of a game that randomly changes the rules! Whether you're into rhythm games or not, this looks like that it shouldn't be that hard. I don't know what else to say or do about this...

I want this series to be over already. I'm tired of kh. Kh2 was one of my favorite games of all time. For me the game ended with kh2. Kh3 ruined all my hopes and dreams for the series and wish it would be put out of its misery already.

It ain't wasn't gonna add that much story I knew that, and i really loved the demo when i played it was a blast and fun to play with friends and THE FREAKING MUSIC IS SO GOOD. I do recommend getting if your really into the music.

Yeah, I will buy it 100%! I'll just wait a price drop, I didn't really wanna buy this game at full price since the beginning, but I find fun nonetheless! The story might not be my cup of tea, but it's still a fun game for those of us who love the saga :) I've also saw the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra, so this needs to be in my collection!

Youre being too negative, which i have done at times too while navigating through the ending of KH3. MoM is awesome. That being said the saga is over for me. I really dont care if they take it further. MoM, re:mind and kh3 combine for a satisfactory ending for me. Sora being gone and Riku chasing him just tells me that their adventures will never end and thats fine. But my investment in the story has ended because i dont feel i have anything to gain from it anymore. But MoM was the cherry on top that i needed to bring together everything i have played up until this point. I am smart and patient so i waited for 50% off. Got kh3 for like $8 and re:mind for 25% off. Saves to be patient.

The game is so bad, in my head it's an Android game that you can buy for 5 euros in the Playstore. As it should be! Thank God I didn't buy this crap. This game has no right to be a PS4 game!
