(I say this because there's evidence that Xaldin was originally going to be a member of the true org in some of the game files, so Normua definitely has some ideas for this character, but whether he implements them or not is a different story)

God I love these - The "See you're nothing but a child" line, is it referencing the Xaldin line of "Do my eyes deceive me? He's nothing but a boy!"? I like the, "Time for the Coup de ta" line. Could make this attack, remove all ally party members from the field while a massive gust of wind that also knocks Sora into the sky. I imagine the line could even imply that he goes against Ansems order to hold back. Cuz its not in his nature so he uses all his strength. Also oooo A cheeky reference to 11 and 12th's Coup! Could he have been another flowery windy traitor??? The player win line is so within character too. I cant remember if I said before but if nomura wont do anything with Dilan/Xaldin; If I ever get the cash to make some OTT animated fanfic of him, I absolutely will. Hire David Dayan Fisher while I'm at it 🤣

@@Roxbian First off, Yes the defeat line is a reference to the KH2FM line but also a reference to a line from Dilan in BBS. When Ven starts chasing Trinity Armor Dilan yells "But you're just a child!" Second, the coup line mostly was focusing on how Dilan was both a guard and his personality. Ironically, he was the only, and I mean ONLY one true to Organization XIII. Xemnas was always working with his other selves. Xigbar is, well... Luxu so that settles that. Vexen wanted to use the replicas to help people with Lexaeus and Zexion was along for the ride. Siax and Axel wanted to betray the Org to find X and get their real hearts back, although both of their goals ended up changing. Demyx is Demyx. Luxord was begining to question whether the Org was legit, and if the 'Oath to Return' episode is hinting at what people think it is, its possible Luxord remembered the one he "truly" serverd the whole time (Plus, in 358 some of his interactions with Roxas seem almost protective and caring. Maybe Roxas Re:Minded him of a certain someone). Marluxia and Larxene always planned to betray; Marluxia for his memories, with Larxene along for the ride. Throughout the whole of 358 and 2FM, Xaldin was always loyal. As I said earlier there even is a small bit of evidence saying Xaldin was planned for the True Org. The chess piece files have a piece called pawn_Xaldin_bone. (Look up the Garden of Assemblage Data Fight Portal Emblem Replacements on Nexus Mods for the image). Its likely he was planned but it was scrapped probably somewhere in the, y'know FOURTEEN YEARS (15 if you count Re:MInd) this game was being worked on (Planning for KH3 started sometime after KH2 in 2005 when Birth By Sleep was the OG concept, finally entered development in 2013, hit constant development roadblocks thanks to Disney being strict about Arendalle's story and the Carribean's music, plus some JP VAs ended up passing away, such as Phil's which is why he doesn't speak in Olympus, and was finally released in 2019, but they had to cut some parts out and fix them in Re:mind, which released in 2020.) Who knows when or where the plan changed but knowing Normua, he probably does have a plan for Xaldin, what it is though, who knows.

Man you're absolutely right, I haven't played BBS nearly enough to remember that Xaldins actually has more lines. I reckon I'm gonna be watching a playthrough soon to freshen up on the story. Now that you mention it, Xaldin has been truly loyal. I appreciate how you broke down the traitor's pairings demyx is demyx lol Anyone who is connected to sora can stir up emotions so with Luxord and Roxas it makes sense. Even in the manga, Luxord other than being absolutely hilarious, shows a lot of care too. Man id love if 358/2 manga was canon. It would throw the whole story somewhere completely different! Jesus yeah i'm so surprised that he had a chess piece! I was however aware of Heaps of VA's passing away. its one of the main reasons why In the future I want to make more music tied to, for example Lexaeus. I relate to Lexaeus so much. Apparently according to some post I read, Xaldin's jp VA is in jail? The chess piece that was cut out gives me so much hope!
