The story is confirmed as not being planned, James. The writer for the series just makes things up as he goes along, usually adding things that are popular at the time of writing because they're "in" and he thinks the ideas are cool. The Kingdom Hearts story is an insane labyrinth of insanity that would even make Kojima's head spin. No one truly understands it, not even the writer. Anyone who claims otherwise is a liar. They're great games though.

KH1.5 -> KH2.5 -> KH2.8 -> KH3 All the ones with decimal points are compilation titles. Play the games on them in order of release. 1.5+2.5 on ps4 goes on pretty deep sales pretty regularly.

Yea, you can come with the FF 13 shit. But in my opinion, FF13, was good, how it was. and the sequels after it, made this game and story even better.

Like every other series, you just should play the games in order of release. The time-line itself is totally linear. There's only two prequel games where you play with another characters and a mobile game where happens centuries before the games. So it's way more simple than almost everyother big franchise with prequels.

That's probably fairly accurate if you play on lower difficulties and don't do much of the side content. That being said, some of the games can take 100 hours each if you do go for 100% and explore everything the games have to offer
