I'll never understand why "DONALD DOESN'T HEAL ME!!!" is an argument against Donald at all... Rule of thumb, guys: NEVER depend on AI-controlled party members to heal you when you can do that yourself, especially if they're made of glass like Donald. To me, he's more dependable when he's spamming offensive magic out of the enemies' reach, which is why I appreciate him a lot more in KH2 than I do in KH1; that Donald Thunder really helped me a lot in Critical Mode's early game.

The music was good? No... just NO. Of the three original songs in KH2 Atlantica, only Ursula's Revenge was good. Swim this Way was lame and A New Day is Dawning was god-awful, especially when Sora, Donald and Goofy opened their mouths to sing... UGH. This world shouldn't be in KH2 at all: it's completely disconnected from the main plot (you don't meet Pete, Maleficent or Organization XIII), you do nothing but minigames and, unlike 100 Acre Wood, you're doing the same one minigame FIVE TIMES. Sure, I wanted to play The Little Mermaid's actual story, but I wanted an actual world with actual battles attached to that story, like in KH1 (the swimming controls were not that bad, IMO; the only thing I can't stand about KH1 Atlantica is hearing Under the Sea over and over again as the overworld theme).

As I expected, both Donal and Goofy took the numvber 2 and 1 spots. Afterall they both have something nobody else has, wich is avaiability, they are the only party members that are with you for almost the entire game, and not just locked to a specific world. Because of that the player can always take advantage of their strengths. On a side note, Mulan's limit is great for mobility early on, since you don't have much movement options at that part of the game, so activating Mulan's limit and simply fly away through the maps really helps out, and since her world is one of the first ones you visit in KH2, so you can at least make some use of it.

No Xion from 358/2 days? She does just as much damage as your character, she is really good with magic. And best of all she uses her items for you throughout every missions. I rarely had to heal because of her constantly using potions on me. Let me rephrase that: I rarely died because she was that good of a companion. I considered her more of an equal than a party member. During your top 10 worst magic countdown the only reason I knew Blizzard was an honorable mention in 358/2 Days was because she actually was able to do something with it. Whenever I used that spell it only worked 1 out of 20. I just got one question for you JOC217, why wasn't she even an honorable mention!?!?

That was so unexpected of you to put Ariel at #5. Although Atlantica isn't well liked (and for a good reason), this is the level that made Ariel one of my all time favorite characters (right next to Patrick Star and Sonic the Hedgehog) because I never expected Ariel, a princess, to be a badass because over the 2000s, I've looked down upon princess characters (with the exception of Princess Fiona and Princess Leia) as weak and helpless sissies who do nothing but sit around and wait to be rescued. So, yeah Ariel is one of my favorite characters for how she took the classic princess trope and turns it on its ear and yet doesn't come off as a weak and helpless sissy thanks to her proactivity (out swimming a shark and saving Flounder along the way, killing Ursula's eels in the climax, and saving Prince Eric 2 times).

My list #1 KH2.5 (PS4) Donald. Period. Duck Flare is straight up the most broken ability in this version of the game. He's useless besides his limits but between s and the insane damage buff to an already broken limit, no one else can even begin to compare for #1. #2: Riku. Eternal Session is really good, and he's fast, has a guard you can trigger on command. Reason he's this high is you get him for one of the data fights. #3: Jack Skellington (KH2). Dance Call is ridiculous. It just is. #4: The Beast (KH1). 8 item slots at base stats is a reason to use him by itself. #5: Ariel. She's not gimped anywhere near as bad as you are by level 1, proficient healer and mixed attacker. #6: Peter Pan. Has stopra and aerora right outta the box. 'nuff said. Oh, 6 items. #7 Aladdin, both games. Great for farming and in KH1FM in particular he does good damage on Jafar. #8: Goofy (KH1). just for MP gift honestly. #9: Jack Sparrow (KH2). The bombs count as fire, elemental damage is kinda important in Port Royal. #10: Woody (KH3). Not a lot to say, most of the KH3 party seems lackluster, the Toy Story duo, Marshmallow and Sully are are welcome additions though I will say.

Yamishi Ikeda I thought bay max was very useful and fun. woody is good but captain jack is underrated in kh3. his team up special is beast. with sora. rapunzel was great before the end when she lost her hair and couldn't use her anymore. but yes marsh mellow was amazing especially his team up special.

I honestly hate how nerfed party members became after KH1, especially Donald and Goofy. Cause Donald had the same spells as you and even had them leveled up as you got the Ra and Ga upgrades as well as having a shit ton of MP and then you pretty much explained it in a nutshell with Goofy. Most importantly, they actually did decent damage against enemies and bosses. The Limits and other abilities they have are cool in later games but I miss when they could hold their own. :/

What bothers me a bit about Aladdin is that he's got no Accessory slots. Means I gotta mix and match his abilities, can't use all of 'em at once. In addition, his Strength/Def is at whatever his base stats are. Ah well, they're good, so I guess I can't complain. He gets quite a few armor slots, though. Also, Donald and Goofy get a really paltry amount of AP in KH2, you're gonna have to either give 'em really good AP boosting equipment or actually give them AP boosts.

Yes! Goofy, my bro!! Thank you! Goofy was my best buddy in both KH1 and KH2. My one issue with him is that I had horrible luck with Donald in both games (even his friend card in CoM screwed me more often than saved me), and he was almost always dead. Good would keep wasting Potions on him. I hated that shit! That was the reason I always used world party members over Donald if I could, since they all had way more survivability than Donald.

JOC217, I can really see why Donald and Goofy would be on the list. Since, 1. They stay with you all the way until the end. 2. There attacks such as the magical and physical maneuvers are great if you know how to use them. Lastly, in KH2 become much better with everything as well as there limits being strong or sometimes too strong. (more strong for goofy of both his tornado Fusion and Knocksmash of the original).

Yeah this is extremely annoying especially in a LV1 challenge but considering Barbossa is weak to magic and potentially infinitly stunned with it at the end of the Day it's not that much of a deal once you catch Barbossa just don't let him escape.

i think you forgot goofy's other limit called cosmo boost which has sora hold goofy with his sheild facing outward while he charges up then sora lets go with goofy flying around the area like he was just shot out of a cannon slamming into any enemy stupid enough to let you lock on to them sending them into the air hitting them multiple times dealing massive damage and stunlocking them with each hit this is an aoe attack that destorys bosses and makes mob battles a joke

Donald, when hes alive is a goat. In kh1, he would spam blizzard and gravity before i even rushed. And maybe he never healed but he always cast aero on me so thats good enough

I still remember trying to convince a friend ages ago that Goofy is a far better party member to take when fighting the secret boss Phantom in KH1. Yes he doesn't have any magic attacks but I often found taking Donald with you over him (with Pan being mandatory) that Donald often would use the wrong magic spell when targetting Phantom instead of what he was weak to OR he would cast it at literally the exact same time I would cast my own as Sora meaning we would end uo wasting MP from both of us unless we got lucky and Phantom used the same weakness twice in a row. Sure Pan and Goofy can interrupt you during physical attacks when it would be preferable to let Sora hit him for more damage but there is no downside to them doing this unlike Donald and Sora both wasting magic. Just bring Goofy, disable every MP costing ability except MP gift and just leave the magic casting to Sora for Phantom, healing and using stop on the clock.

Psycho333, No 358 wasn't originally a movie, it was a Nintendo DS title. In 1.5 it's a movie because they couldn't upgrade the graphical quality of the entire game, plus no one really wants to replay 358 once they've completed it, it's a really tedious game with more filler than a standard shonen jump tv series. The times when the actual story was moving forward were great but the filler was too strong for a second run.

If it weren't for KH2, Beast would be my #1. He is amazing in every way. Also being from the best Disney movie of all time helps.

Spoiler warning When you get to the Keyblade Graveyard and battle Saix, Roxas and Xion help you after Kairi gets captured by Xemnas, Roxas is so op that you can just watch him kill Saix on his own without getting hurt at all
