@@atticstattic they are trying to get those eggs not for consumption. They were meant to be incubated where the hatchlings will be trained and used for falconry in the future. Birds of prey usually build their nests high up; thus to acquire those eggs for the said purpose they, of course, will have to brave higher altitude than usual. If they were gathering eggs simply for food - they'll not need to be selective; there would be other nests to raid at lower elevations. Actually, they would be able to get them from the very ground as they walk where some birds prefer to build their nests. In fact, there are some species of birds who even build their nests underground! Sorry for not getting what you were trying to say. English isn't my first language either. This trailer does an excellent job of displaying Loa's personality. He is law-abiding, compassionate, and resourceful - but he also is impulsive and seems to act too quickly on his ideas. Anaya (the male friend) acts as juxtaposition: he is also a bit hasty, but he has little regard for law and tradition, insinuating that Elders are "elder" (meaning "old and crazy"), is willing to take all three eggs, and thinks that being one day older than Loa is no justification for himself getting priority. I could see Anaya presenting somewhat of a foil to Loa in the early part of the story, and perhaps even betraying him down the line.
