I live in the town this was made, and its hard to tell because mods have been done but i believe my dads current home is in the film. I was born in '85 and through most of my childhood the tarantula population in the town still existed in high numbers, because of this film. By the early 2000s it became much more of a rare sight to see one and became appearant, the guest left over from the film were not maintaining well in their new environment. Today they are still seen but very rarely and i suspect a few genetic enthusiast will remain for a long time but they are all but gone.

I've seen it once and it still creeps me out. Even though you can buy the movie and find the whole movie here as well as clips, I can't watching the movie as I'm scared of spiders. Yes I'm quite aware tarantulas are timid and scared of people. But they're easy to pick up and hold once your fear is gone. I knew a person who owned a large Tarantula and every time he picked it up, the tarantula would remain still and its legs close to its body. He told me the spider never bit him and he had it for many years.

Ha! Saw this movie in the theater when it was released. Got a kick out of it then, but the kick came from seeing Shatner again. Hadn't seen him since "The Devil's Rain", at that time. Anybody notice that most of the music in this movie was music from the show "The Twilight Zone"? Must have been stock music for TV shows. 😆
@bluevictory10106 жыл бұрын
You are correct, I read about that on Wikipedia. Most of the instrumental music was from the Twilight Zone because this movie had a really low budget to adhere to. I love The Devil's Rain, the ending is a little bit dragged out but overall a really good movie!
@morlockmeat6 жыл бұрын
@@bluevictory1010 - If the music works, why not use it. It was great and memorable music and was used in many other TV shows, such as The Fugitive and Perry Mason.
