For those who don't understand the times in which this was recorded... It was a FILMING of Mother Shaw. There was no VIDEOING, back then. The person doing the filming was simply praying along with Mother and inadvertently being picked up in the mic. It wasn't possible to do anything other than repeat, because they did not know what Mother was going to say! My goodness... The emphasis is on PRAYER. And that was what Mo. Shaw did, and did well. I didn't get hung up on the echo praying. I focused on the beautiful manner with which she spoke to God. I loved her reverence and curtesy towards Him, not demanding Him. It was a beautiful, very spirit-fueled prayer, and though this happened over 40 years ago, it's timeliness cannot be denied. No matter how you feel about it, we need prayers to go up, especially for God's people who are representing Him, and for America, and for this entire world. There is much confusion and hatred. We need His presence and His love to help us through this present darkness.

I been watching her videos for an hour and i love that she never hollered to pray. She was real in Christ. You cant hardly find no mothers in the church like this today. You also dont hear people truly ushering in the spirit before praying as she does.

People, don't get caught up in doctrine and denomination......If you believe in Jesus Christ and that He died on the cross for the remission of sin and that He rose on the third day and is now sitting on the right hand of the Father, you can be saved if you repent of your sins and invite Jesus in your heart and make him Lord of your life. You will receive the gift of the Holy Ghost either before, during or after water baptism. It has happened multiple ways. But that's all there is to it.

If I can here is some context on that verse... What it means by repetition is that during those times many people (petitioner or the prayer-person) tried to manipulate God into fulfilling some desire of the petitioner by repeating a supposed magic formula,not merely the repetition of words. Notice how the part about praying in open is about Jews who were known for their pride in their superiority and the part about repetition is about the heathen who were known for their worship of gods and often used a formula to invoke him. Also may I add on separate note that in the black church of which I'm a "member" it's just like a call and answer it signifies to the speaker that they are Bing heard and that the people follow along nothing so deep and spiritual about it though that's all

Why do people REPEAT what the woman who is up there is saying (almost word for word)??? She says, "Yes, Lord," and the people behind her say, "Yes, Lord." She says, "Thank ya!" And, they say, "Thank ya!" She says ANYTHING and they repeat what it is that she has said no matter what she says. Are these people JUST starting to learn how to talk or what?!!? I mean, you would think that they were JUST starting to learn how to talk or something by listening to them. I am getting a headache just listening to this while I am writing this post. Personally, I think it's all part of the brainwashing, conditioning, and indoctrination (by repeating things over and over - DRILLING all this stuff into the brains of the people). She must have said "Heal ME!!!" ten thousand times. And, then, she starts in on the "Consecrate us" quite a few times. And, when she DOES finally move on to something else that she starts saying, then she gets STUCK on that saying, too (for a while). Shoot, ANYONE could get up there and just repeat words over and over again. I could think of a LOT of different things I could say over and over again (and drive everybody nuts). I'm sorry. Not trying to offend anyone. I'm really not. But, this is just REALLY strange to me. It's like they keep repeating things to give them some sort of a high (by repeating things over and over TILL they feel what they WANT to feel). Ya know?!!?

On offence taken. What they are doing only a spiritual mind is able to understand. If you don't understand you will think it is foolishness. Repeatedly saying the truths if God is how we meditate or help us remember them and get it into our heart so we won't sin against God. If we know the truth we will do the truth. When we want to sin all we hear in our heart crying out of our spirit is thank you Lord, I love you Lord, consecrate me Lord...and it will bring us back to willing obedience. This is a weapon that is not carnal. It has power tear down strongholds in the mind because the spirit (what we serve God with) is contrary to the flesh (sinful desires and temptation that we want to do but know we should not because it is our reasonable service to serve God with holiness and purity). This is hoe we renew our mind with what the bible says. It's not brain washing. It is how we cleanse ourselves from the filthiness or the flesh and spirit. You may not understand but those of us who serve the Lord do and we appreciate it. Be blessed and if you are saved I pray that the Lord will open your understanding. If you not, believe on the Lord Jesus and He will save your soul.
