It’s so interesting to hear your feelings on it. Personally, I very much enjoyed the depth and sort of “grim dark“ approach this novel brings to the Sun Eater series. It really pulled me in with the trauma Hadrian experiences and makes me understand turning to genocide to be rid of the Cielcin. His emotional and mental journey are so powerful, but I understand that can be overwhelming to some people. Despite our disagreement, I very much enjoy your review and I’m excited to see your other content

I love this book. It's a tough read at points because of how much Hadrian has to endure, but man is it good.

Not a good book. I have the audiobook. About 10 hours ,1/3 of the book is just degrading torture porn. Not my idea of fun. Just a grind to get through. Could have done with some major editing.
