This song reminds me of my past “relationship” if I can call it like that, I started dating a man, like, four years ago, he’s 11 years older than me, I met him when I was 21, everyone tolde that it wasn’t good for me because the age gap, but I really liked him, it was all good at the beginning, after a year of dating, I invited him at my birthday, it was perfect, he told he felt something he had not felt long time ago, so I thought it was time to tell him the way I felt, so the next week after my birthday I told him to come to my house, when I told him about my feelings, he said that he didn’t want to be in a relationship, but that he wanted me to stay in his life, that he liked me, but not in that way, so, I accepted, because I really liked him, and I told myself that, in time, he would feel the same, but it never happened, so after everything that we went through, I decided to let him go, because I was stuck with someone that didn’t want me but won’t let me go either, I really hurts, it still hurst today, but I know it was the right choice, because maybe I would have stayed too long and done too much just to make him stay.
