If I'm honest...Norway's food prices are just about the same as what I'm paying here in Portland Oregon. It's crazy. Norway is stunning!! As I say that, I'd rather visit in the summer. Hi Nutters , Many many many many years ago when I was a lot younger and still had supple skin . I live in Bedford Library Bus , where I’d get up a 6am to light the fire , so when I actually got up , it would be toasty warm . Another problem would be trying to stop the Calor Gas from freezing - trying to shake the slushy gas just to be able to make a cuppa tea (I tried so many ideas on trying to not let the gas bottle freeze) …. Those winter days in Jan/Feb , I do not miss - Now I’m older , wiser (lol) … I have come to appreciate the little luxuries in life - like hot running water from a magic tap , flushing toilets - wow what an invention and a warm comfy bed (where I don’t have to go to bed in longjohns and a woolly hat in ice crispy sheets)… enjoy this crazy van life while your still young and able , and remember this …I’ve still got the darn kettle on , when the heckers are you coming over …. When I was in University I lived in Norway for a semester in Trondheim. We were only around an hour away from the Swedish border and there was a free bus that went from our town, over the border to a Swedish supermarket, we'd run in, fill our big blue ikea bags full of groceries and head back to Norway, it helped save a bit of money 😅
