The Day I PROPOSED in Japan (She Had NO IDEA!)

Craig proposed in Japan - It actually HAPPENED!!
Just when I thought our time in Japan couldn't get any better, Craig dropped down on one knee and asked me to marry him - of course I said yes (well.... I think I did.. I took the ring anyway haha)
I don't even know where to start - It really was the shock of my life! I had no idea it was coming and Craig was CONVINCED I knew after having the ring stashed in the lining of his suitcase for the last 6 weeks!
After some help from his mum to pick the ULTIMATE cherry blossom / sakura inspired ring and after a traditional call with my Dad to ask if he was allowed Craig took me to a park in Tokyo sprinkled with Cherry blossom trees and asked me to be his wife. It was perfect and emotional and overwhelming all at the same time and i cannot stop looking at my ring. I'm i n love.
This is the video of the run up - the anxiety- the proposal and the love bubble after math including one of Tokyo's most INSANE hotel rooms and a Michelin star restaurant.

You both are oozing happiness, so I can't be happier for you! This video is just the absolute best. I’m a 60 year old British woman married for 36 years. To hear you both say that after so many years together you feel more in love or as in love as you were at the beginning is just so awesome to hear. Too many couples get together and as soon as there’s a down day or hiccup in their relationship they give up and call it a day and that’s so sad. I’m not saying marriage is the b all and end all of a relationship. As Craig said, it’s not for everyone, but if you’ve both got similar dreams, want similar adventures and outcomes out of life, then why not, especially when you know marriage is important to your partner. It’s not a noose around your neck. It’s not like you can’t get out of it like the old days. Good for you both. What the pair of you have been through both physically and mentally over the years and have achieved them with just a little bit of arguing or threatened break ups, prove that you both love each other and have worked hard to overcome your differences. You didn’t give up on each other and that tells me this is real. When you get married, forget about it, just live as your have been except from then on you can call each other hubby and wifey. It’s a piece of paper that goes into a security tin and is never looked at again. Why people get so tied up in knots over a gold/white gold ring and piece of paper baffles me, every time. Just live your life as you have been and you’ll be doom buggy racing in your 60’s. Congratulations guys from your geordie Brit admirer.❤
