Today we are talking about why social media can be dangerous.
Sorry for the delay guys a lot has been happening over the last 2 months. Custard’s bodywork is almost ready to have a brand new colour wrap and we CANNOT wait.
We’ve been a bit quiet on social media lately and have had to take a step back to work on us as a couple. We realised the busy lifestyles and all the behind the scenes stuff meant we weren’t giving each other enough attention, we were arguing constantly and our relationship was slowly slipping away from us. So we decided that counselling would help us sort all of that out - which it did!

We started KZbin wanting to spread reality and show that #couplegoals doesn't exist. We are all normal human beings. A qualified stranger can really dig for the right answers and often tell you things that you're too frightened to say out loud. I edited a video for the missus' work once and it took me all bloody day, which gave me a little insight into how much work goes into the videos KZbinrs do! Have to say, it was very brave of you to admit that you were struggling a little with your relationship, and exactly why this channel is head and shoulders above other KZbin travel vlog thingies I've watched. Despite having the full KZbinr starter kit (oversize glasses, charity shop clothes, vegan, Craig's moustache 🤣) the authenticity shines through. I've had a couple of tough times with my missus where we talked about if it might be easier to walk away, but after a lot of tears we remembered that the reason we're together is that we both found the love of our lives. The most important thing is to face the challenges as a team. and give the missus a snog now and tell her how much I love her 😘 Keep up the good work!!

And this is why I've started a 2 year counselling course as I've seen how it's helped my family and I now want to pay it forward. Even if I never make a bean from it and all I do is volunteer work then I happy as a bee. I start my first placement in a few weeks time at a local charity offering counselling for 13 to 25 year old. So if you are ever in the area and fancy a cuppa please call in. We will be more than happy to show you around the charity and counselling rooms. Hopefully it will help raise our profile a bit so we can access more funding as the demand always out ways what we can offer. We are not far from you and I'm sure we can always find room for custard. xx

I’m 57 so that shows the broad range of people that watch your videos and get inspiration from you both... if I’m fed up at work I go straight to a kinging-it video to cheer myself up. I don’t believe that mental or emotional health is misunderstood, we’ve all been educated enough on the subject. The issue is that it’s silent. If we see someone with their arm in plaster we realise straight away what’s happened and how it will repair and it’s easy to say to the person, how did you do that. Any sort of emotional turmoil and we tend to be so scared, because we know it could happen to us in an instant, that we deal with it by avoiding the subject. You, talking openly is a wonderful gift for those thinking that they are the only ones that suffer. When you consider that relationships are just an extension of ourselves we should do exactly what you’ve decided to do... look after each other first. With the exception of does my bum look big in this, honesty with each other is the best policy because (as my grandmother always said) a problem shared is a problem halved. If you are ever on the Gower give us a shout

Thank you for sharing this with us. I can well imagine how 24/7 everything can be so exhausting and overwhelming it leaves little or no space for you as a couple. Having had therapy myself I realised that it can be make or break on many levels. No one should feel afraid, weak or that they’ve failed by having counselling (providing it’s a good fit with a properly qualified person) because if you break a leg you go to the appropriate person to have it mended and ‘head health’ as I call it, is no different. We are an entire being after all. One of the many things I absolutely love about you guys and your channel is the realness which is invaluable!!! So many people won’t consider therapy so as you said if you can help/encourage others to seek help and support to help them get back on track with their lives, well it’s worth everything!! I’m so glad you decided to take time out for yourselves and very happy that you’re doing ok! I think going forward you can continue to apply what you’ve learned and have an even better honest and supportive relationship which will spill into your busy work lives! You have already made such a big difference in my life in ways you can’t imagine so I’m grateful for you both and the content you work so tirelessly to show on your channel!! You rock guys!! I only just watched this but a bit ago I sent you and a few other vloggers a TY video. Reason being, whilst things might not all be as rosie as they seem on vlogs, there IS a HUGE positive to what you all do. You show people around the world that, people around world are the same. If you think about it, that probably has a better chance of bringing about global tolerance & understanding than any major broadcaster or even the UN! Don´t assume you are over it and everything will now be OK. The reality is you still need to go on working at your relationship, at gaining life balance, and just dealing with life's problems. And maybe need more counseling if you get a setback. Glad you didn't give up on each other. And of course, glad you didn't give up on Custard!

Your vulnerability is so courageous and incredible. You both are truly inspiring and I love that you saved each other instead of scrapping it. I have been with my partner for 13 years and we have had our fair share of moments where we have felt so similar but be the change you wish to see in the world and we found that pushing through the darkness makes the bright, light moments so much more worth it. Great that you open up. And great that you both were up for therapy👍. I tried for years with my now ex husband.. He refused until it was to late.. But now I know (Form all the councilors and therapists) he is a narssistical gas-lighter.. So as 2 marriage counselors and 3 therapists have told me, he will never change... And since separation and still going through a bad divorce, I am still in therapy trying to undo the affects of years of abuse... So well done... You guys are great for recognizing the problem and doing something about it! 🤗

Be quietly within yourself and open as many solutions will unfold outside our own contrivances. And just know it and let it be. Integrity is the key. I've worked with addicts and mental health off and on for 40 years. I continue to ask for help from my mentors when needed. Many years ago a very wise person said to me. You can't give away something that you haven't got. It's ok to ask for help. 🙏
