Think it was an editing mistake. You can see he had one clip of it and then entered a separate clip of the same chair. It’s clearly a chair made out of an alligator, and the voice over goes on to talk about custom pieces made of alligator. So somebody put the wrong picture up.

12,000 tones isn’t weight. It’s GT gross tonnage. Which means interior volume. Which is massive!!!! That’s pretty much the equivalent of 4 mega yachts. Even 85m monsters are generally around 3,000. For instance Tatoosh a 92.4m/303ft is only 3,229 GT which is unbelievably huge! So image 12,000+!!!

The first time I saw this ship was when I went to Cannes in 2018. I saw it again a couple days later when I was in Monaco. One of the absolute coolest shops. Became even cooler to me when I saw it over a full year later in a bay outside of St Thomas. The things I’d do to get a chance to be on this ship. Some bond type ship. I’m no socialist, and strongly believe wealth and luxury is a useful motivator for ambitious people to set up companies and make things happen, but it’s truly obscene that humanity tolerates a level of exclusive wealth like this that is way beyond excessive. That money could have solved big problems in the world, written off crippling debt payments for a small country, helped progress manned space flight for all our futures. We need to do better.
