Jane Hamon: Mobilizing the Curse-Destroying Anointing (2 Kings 2:21)
Jane speaks at King of Kings Worship Center on July 7, 2023, as part of the “We Prophesy New York” event. Quotes: To with me to 2 Kings 2:19. Elijah went up, his mantle came down. Elisha picked it up, went back to the water that Elijah had just parted and crossed. He stood there, rolled up the mantle, took the mantle and said, "Where is the Lord God of Elijah?" He struck the water and it parted. Elisha's first miracle was Elijah's last miracle. Elisha picked up where Elijah left off.”
You’ve been “blessed to be a blessing.” (Genesis 12:2) Pay it forward!

Go with me to Second Kings chapter two
because this you know,
one of the examples in scripture is found
in Second Kings chapter two.
We all know the story.
We know the portion of the story.
When Elijah is getting ready to be taken up to heaven
and Elisha's following after him.
We've probably all heard that preached
as probably one of our favorite prophetic passages.
Elisha comes and says, "Lord, I pray
that let a double portion of your spirit be upon me."
How many have ever prayed,
Lord let a double portion of your spirit be upon me?
Okay, and so what we have to understand
is that we are in this season
where we've been contending for a double portion.
We've been contending
against the thief to have a double portion of recovery.
We've been contending
in the spirit to receive a double portion mantle,
which is both apostolic and prophetic.
Both the spirit of wisdom and revelation,
both the sons of Issachar having an understanding
of the times and knowing what to do.
It is men and women.
It is Black, and white, and Asian, and Hispanic.
It is double when we work together,
it is young and old generations running
and working together, it is a double portion.
But here's what we've missed.
We haven't read on
in the story to see what Elisha did with the double portion.
So, I want you to go with me to 2 Kings 2:19.
So Elijah went up, his mantle came down,
Elisha picked it up, went back
to the water that Elijah had just parted and crossed.
And he stood there, he rolled up the mantle.
He took the mantle.
He stood there and he said,
"Where is the Lord God of Elijah?"
And he struck the water and it parted.
Listen, Elisha's first miracle was Elijah's last miracle.
He picked up where Elijah left off.
That's where Jesus said, "Greater things than I do
you're going to do, because I go to the Father."
You're going to pick up where I left off.
How many understand that's a word for every one of us
not just the people sitting on the front row?
Every one of us are supposed to be empowered legislators,
empowered saints, empowered believers
that can do all the stuff.
Scripture says, covet the best gift.
What's the best gift?
The one you need to get the job done.
Come on, if I need healing, don't say,
"Oh I really wish I could pray for you
but I don't have the gift of healing."
Come here and let me smack you, okay?
Scripture says, it says,
"These signs shall follow them that believe." [Mark 16:17]
How many believers...
it doesn't say these signs shall follow your pastors.
These signs shall follow apostles,
these signs shall follow the great evangelists.
No, no, no.
It says, "these signs shall follow them that believe
in My Name, you will cast out devils."
Not these signs shall follow the deliverance team.
Every believer - I want you to say, "I will cast out devils."
You'll speak in new tongues.
How many of you speak in new tongues?
What's the next one?
I think "if they drink anything deadly."
Is that what's next?
That's what my husband prays every time I cook for him.
Okay, it's not my gift.
I can eat anything deadly, okay?
You lay hand, what's that?
Burnt offering, that's right.
I honor him as the priest of our home.
He receives my burnt offerings.
Okay, so,
"they'll lay hands on the sick and they shall recover."
How many understand this is for every one of us?
See, we've got to break
in this region a pulpit driven Christianity.
We've got to understand
if we're going to see territories change,
it's not just what happens on a pulpit
or down in an alter area in a church.
But what happens is that we come together,
we get an impartation, and we take it out there
and we start demonstrating out there the things
that have been manifesting in here.
So he received a mantle.
How many of you all got that fire tonight?
We received? I got it, man. So now look at the,
look at what he does as soon as he crosses over.
Verse 19, "Then of the men of the city said to Elisha,
'Please notice the situation of the city
is pleasant as my Lord sees.
But the water is bad and the ground is barren.'"
