A lady looked at me like I had lost my damn mind when I told her I have not filed my taxes yet. She was like you must have just got you W2 I was like no I've had it since the end of Jan. I know ppl who got their return and back broke. Save your money put in a CD, a high interest savings account damn dont spend it all at one time.

I work at billings and receivables for a university and we had so many students coming misinformed by a tax preparation company that promised them a certain amount of money. We had to call a CPA , IRS and make many copies of the damn instruction for that tax credit. People get so caught in getting a couple of hundreds now that they don't think how much that can cost you, because uncle Sam will snatch your wig

Invest invest invest is right. One year I bought a deep freezer and enough meat to last a year. I loved it! Pay your car insurance up for a year or at least 6 months. Pay something to help your life, it feels good :) Oh, and I don't tell ANYONE except my father when I get my taxes. I keep that info to myself haha

if someone is getting $6,000 to $10,000 of tax money, they need to pay their major bills up to 3 months (light bill, car bill, frozen foods) & if they need a car but can't afford it THEY NEED TO BUY A SCOOTER BUT PAY IT OFF THAT SECOND b/c it is cheaper than a car & they can get health insurance-> that can help them for a long time. it is crazy for folks to get $6,000 to $10,000 in tax money then spend it quickly on foolishness then in 2 months THEY'RE TRYING TO BORROW & BUM RIDES FROM THEIR FAMILY & FRIENDS. it's crazy for someone to buy a car from the car lot with their tax money; then in 6 months the car is repo'd b/c they can not afford to make payments/ they're hiding their car (they'll be better off buying a scooter brand new with that money).
