It was a near perfect 1:1 simile as it was to do what you suggested weakens it because he's saying "I'm just" which makes it sound less substantial and isn't as direct to the brain as putting the image in your head with the straightforward simile. The part he could've made stronger was the infinity gauntlet line knowledge and gauntlet do not rhyme but the punch is so clever he got a pass
