Such sadness.. a loss like with Anton is more than a tragedy… it’s a senseless loss of human life . He dedicated his life to protecting the wildlife and sadly it cost him his life .. through organised crime .. a syndicate of evil beyond words . Anton’s life was priceless compared to a poacher and the head of the snake who pays these poachers . My respect and condolences to such a good man .. rest in peace Anton .. your service was not in vain . The fight continues and will always continue ! Excellent episode 🙏🏻

Wonderful safari In timbivati, we love it there stayed at umlani in August. Sadness that Anton was murdered in July outside his home. Thank you for all you brave rangers that help protect the wildlife.

What an incredible episode Tim and Bianca! Thank you so much for sharing the information regarding the importance in nature conservation. You can see and hear the passion in the rangers as they talk about the animals they protect and the love they feel for them. The way you have captured this episode is definitely one that gives you goose bumps and brings a tear to ones eye. Your channel offers a range of topics and footage which is just spot on. The Kings Camp looks incredible, perfect setting after a day in the bush. Another fantastic episode with such diversity.

Thank you so much, the algorithms on social media these days seem to force you to pick a niche and stick with it, so the variety of things we do is probably short term a negative for the future of the channel, but I hope that with enough viewers like you, that see it for what it is and really appreciate it, in the long term it pays off! Appreciate the support!

Hey everyone! I hope you all watch this the whole way through there are some important things we should all hear, but if the conservation stuff get's a bit much for you, I have added chapter markers now for your convenience!
@tdkid12 жыл бұрын
The conservation aspect will never and could never be a 'bit much' because at the end of the day, that is why I watch and subscribe! What I find so special about your travels is that you've tied together all of the other lodges and camps that I have been in love with. When Covid shut down international tourism, a number of lodges brilliantly opened their doors to virtual safaris. The best part of the virtual safari is the conservation aspect.

What an incredible video! One of the best episodes yet! The content involving nature conservation is so important so thank you for sharing it. I would love to see the footage of the conversation you had with Anton on the link between unemployment and poaching.
@LostinAfrica2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Kerryn, it's so difficult sometimes, because the casual viewer does not appreciate this much conservation and tunes out, so the video is not doing great. But our reliable return viewers, know how important it is, and love to dig a little deeper. Tough balancing act sometimes with youtube!

Great video as always, however the luxury lodge reviews don’t appeal to us. Miss the real people roughing it on a budget and trying to make the cost of overlanding work. I believe that’s what most of us do Thanks for the video

Hey Lourens, we appreciate that. They are a critical component in sustainable conservation though, so will still intermittently tell these stories! We overland for 3 months in SA then mozambique and then the Kalahari after this so hopefully you love those!
