i love that these stupidly rough rides are getting retracks nowadays. it gives a new life to old wooden caosters and makes them top teir rides. like that beast. which is contreversialy my favorite coaster now at KI

Yeah I like that they’re doing this too. And plenty of people have The Beast as they’re favorite ride there, you’re definitely not alone.

I had the displeasure of riding Grizzly this year back in July, and hearing this makes me very happy because OH my *god* that thing ran wayyyyy too rough. It was not pleasant, but I thought to myself that the layout would be quite enjoyable if it were a smoother ride. If it gets renovated to a similar extent that the Beast did, then this will be a great improvement. I was going to swear off this ride, but not anymore.

Love the Grizzly. My favorite all time coaster. It beats the hell out of you!!!

I rode it maybe a month or two before it closed, and I got super good ejector, but both me and my dad agreed it was *WAY* too rough. It was horribly rough, and while I could somewhat get past it, my dad couldn’t stand it. I’m so glad that this is getting retracked, because both me and my dad are going back soon and since he has bad motion sickness, that was one of the few things he could ride.

So I've never ridden Grizzly, but if CF has this done as well as they did for The Beast, I think you're going to be happy.

I'm SO happy they're retracking this. Right now it's easily the roughest coaster in the park. I got a massive headache the first (and only) time I rode it and genuinely felt like I was gonna get whiplash from how much it thrashed my head around. Anaconda, while also somewhat rough, feels like a recently built B&M compared to Grizzly. It's that bad. Whenever I'm able to get back to King's Dominion I'm definitely gonna give Grizzly another chance.

I've never had the chance to ride it, but I'm hoping to be there this spring/summer so I'll check it out then.

Agree if Grizzly get the GG Beast treatment it will be rideable again.

It’s always been rideable. You’re just sensitive. The Retrack will definitely be an improvement.

Yeah I mean I think RMC's are awesome, but it's good to see some of these rides preserved.
