Ben what you do better than any other blogger, and what resonates with me who plays against the same opponents most of the time, is playing against your specific opponent. Ranges/sizes/tendencies, etc. it has helped me a lot in my own game

Good Q & A at the end Ben. I think a large part of being a good player is getting to know player tendencies at your table as quick as possible when playing with strangers. If you pay close attention, it shouldn't take longer than an orbit or two to "get to know" your opponents.

I am going to miss posey to. His handling of a pitching staff is probably the best in baseball. Buster you will be missed! Rookie if the year, MVP 3 time WS champ. Future hall of famer. Bonds was my favorite Giants player when I was a kid and Posey is my current favorite Giant now as an adult. Joey Bart era begins now

if someone puts you on exactly KK for a boat and he flats a 1/5th pot bet with nut flush, it just goes to show you how we can bluff with a bunch of holdings given that a lot of recs tend to believe the scary boards

Do you think that searching only for the good games where you take advantage of fishy players hinders you when you run into tougher competition? I get that it may be more profitable but are you able to improve your game much doing so, versus just sticking it out versus tougher players to get better
@VegasPoker1233 жыл бұрын
My personal advice is to find and play in the softest and best games you can as often as possible. And, very occasionally, if you wish to challenge yourself and learn from other good or tough players, you can stay in a tough game about 5% of the time. But playing in bad or tough games most of the time will destroy your win rate over the long term (even though you can still be a winning player in such games, you will make something like 20% or 25% of what you can make in better games).
@youngpup20283 жыл бұрын
So I am a winning player but your insight has been key in my 61% cash rate jumping to 68% in the last year.

An obnoxious drunk at my table goes bonkers after I had a set - I folded on the turn when he shoved despite basically no draws except a gutter - which he hit. Run good often means lucky folds as much as it is lucky hole cards!
@bigfanvideo1403 жыл бұрын
That is why you have to stay as a 2/5 local player. You are able to win only because you know the tendency of other players with a long history of playing with them.

Do most poker players lose money? I would think only a small percentage of players commit to studying the more advanced aspects like GTO and pursue the goal to become a profitable player, seems like a lot of people are just there to gamble and don't try to quit while they're ahead.

Of course most players lose money. A vast majority lose money

I have a question about poker bros: is it legal? I mean they are running a gambling operation without a gambling license. Not likely paying taxes on the rake they take. And it is occurring across state lines…. Thats a lot of federal agencies if they get pissed off.

People running it will get in trouble if they are breaking the law but regular players will be fine. Kind of like what happened on Black Friday.

I don’t understand your logic with the set of aces hand, you folded knowing that you can be ahead sometimes and if not can have 10 outs by the river, but yet you would be willing to go with a flush draw having no made hand and 9 outs by the river ????
