banger racing is to be the first person to cross the line after a certain amount of laps, however full contact is allowed, some drivers prefer going for a crash than the win and its the crashing that attracts the crowd

I'll agree Richard , I've done 11 derbies in NZ during late 90s early 2000s and it's great fun but the cars had to remain stock . To be able to relocate the radiator or bypass it would've made a huge difference , and also a derby is one race only , bangers you get a whole evening of driving (if your lucky) and then finish the night with a derby . Great fun though either way , cheers 🍺
