This was the very first time seeing/hearing about Kings of Leon (before international fame came calling for them). Was living in UK at the time. Loved this performance and this song of theirs (especially Caleb's distinct and soulful voice). Glad they got the recognition they deserved eventually..

@Deos "@Jake Ebdale You're not the sharpest tool in the box lol" He may have been a tad rude in a jesting sort of way but he wasn't wrong about it not being a cover. The song was written about one of the band members (Jared Followill) by the other band members so this isn't a cover.

Those first 2 / 3 albums. A genuinely different league band… and then someone told Caleb to annunciate. “money money money” When I seen these guys in Glasgow 2003 they were genuinely the best band in the world, bar none. King’s, tour YAYM and Aha Shake in the UK and it’ll be the biggest thing since sliced bread. Glasgow and London made you, now pay back 💚

Have to say they never look happy or excited on the stage. Minimum banter. They always play their shit and then just go😂. Last week in Glasgow Caleb talked & cracked a few smiles. I thought the word ended😂. The first gig in 2008 they showed up, said "Hi, we're Kings of Leon", played nonstop, finished said thank you and left. They are not there to talk for sure.
