+Vy Nguyen you can teach yourself,its not a d.n.a thing,just takes practice. it really does,i took one lesson at age 13 hated it and quit and music is not in my family either but i listen to the radio and taped songs on cassette(,lol yes im that old,33) played them over and over till i made a sound close to the first chord in a song i like,you can do it. i know how you feel tho and if i ever have a family i will try to show my children an instument,and a love for music,good luck to you, chin up,hard work!
