Happy 50th Birthday to me!!! THIS is my ultimate Life Anthem. My Soul Brother Sam "The Man " Burns would play this track. He would always know when to throw this track down. Red, ESL, Club Five, Tracks, Fever at Paradox. I am humbled and honored to take some inventory. I shall allow my life to unfold with grace and a lot of faith. One of the very songs that have been with me through my whole life journey. This music touches your heart and soul like no other! Each time you listen there's a different lesson. Different lyrics become true wisdom for the time you need it. Well, that's what my Brother Sam did for me. He has played this track through my heartaches and celebrations! I carry on a new life adventure and my Brother is with me In Spirit now. Finally embraced my Love for House Music. Legendary Washington DC nights!!!! I'm Lil Rhonda. Your DC Good Vibe Ambassador. See you on the dance floors! Thank you for my birthday present, Sam. I love you and party it up in Heaven for me, honey. I miss you like no other. "Time marches on never ending... time takes its own time!!!" (That's my favorite line!) ❤🎉

Tenaglia wrote that he was hired to program this song for KOT. At the end of a late night session, he heard the news of the WTC and stepped outside his studio to see the billows of smoke in the air. Ironically, he said, this song is about a great loss and finally meeting again in paradise. That will forever change this song for me. 1000 times more passion and meaning than it already carried

The first time I heard this song was in the early 2000s at Pacha in Ibiza during a Subliminal party. Erik Morillo played this track. The atmosphere was hot, a beautiful girl knew the lyrics of the song by heart and sang it while dancing in a sensual way against me. What a night! What memories!

Time marches on never ending, Time keeps its own time, Here we stand at beginning, And then goes passing us by, And I, I, I can dream for us all, I hope I'm in a better state, When here and now crumbles and falls And you, you, you who make worlds collide I knew you'd come knocking one day, Unannounced like a thief in the night. Where do we go from here, Time ain't nothing but time, I now have no fear of my fears And no more tears to cry, Tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow means nothing at all If we don't hear the line, When today places its call, and morning, morning, morning Won't ever be the same, Now I won't make the same mistakes, time and time again Time and time again Time and time again Time and time again Time and time again So tell me how do you do Finally I meet you You don't know what I've been through, Waiting and wondering about you I had a dream my trip would end at you, And now I know paradise. So tell me how do you do Finally I meet you You don't know what I've been through, Waiting and wondering about you I had a dream my trip would end at you, And now I know paradise. Absolutely! Sending you tons of Love from Washington, D.C.!! I'm here for you and everyone reading this post. We have some deep souls right here. We're connected by the Love of Music! I remember when my Brother first dropped this song. My Brother Sam "The Man" Burns knew this was One of my life anthems. He spoke through his music to everybody! He always knew when someone needed to hear Julie sing! Every time he would play this track it was a different life experience. Putting life into perspective and letting go of what no longer serves you. That's the power of MUSIC. I honor my dance floor time. Dancers have been my lifelong lifelines for 20+ years. I'm humbled and honored to listen to it again in 2021. It still pushes me through, Lisa!! Anyone reading this post know that you are so loved and you're never alone. What makes my heartstrings pull even more so my brother Sam passed away two years ago. DC Family is stronger than ever because Sam taught us well. He taught us how to get through even the toughest battles. Life isn't easy and as long as we are together. Friendship and connection. We can heal and recover. The lyrics have a new meaning new life experience. May music continue to feed your heart, body, mind, and soul. I got your back, Lisa. I was meant to find this thread. Yesterday I dealt with losing my Dad. Sam was always there for me. He was the One I call on. It was my Dad's 11th death anniversary yesterday. I'm so used to going to Eighteenth Street Lounge and being with DC Family. Now I am without Sam and my Dad. I miss them so much it hurts. I played this music and it took on a whole new meaning! I feel loved and comforted. I thought about all the good memories. Music always brings me back to the present Moment. Thank goodness for lyrics! I absolute love this song. I just had to deal with a shitty thread from my old hometown earlier today. I remember Finally. I can exhale again. Closed my eyes and listen. This timeless gem will always feed our Souls. For that I am so grateful and thankful. Love me some Defected Records!! Hit me up and let's dance!!! Much LOVE. Thanks for reading! Chemkids. I was at Body & Soul the first time they played it... No one I know or in NYC had heard it yet I don't think, they dropped it & we all were like WHAT SONG IS THIIIIIIIIIIS?!!! Dancing through the Stars on this.. . They even brought it back, just restarted the song because it is just THAT good... They were like, I mean we have to play this again b/c what do you even play after that? Besides they knew nothing would satisfy us but just replaying the song again & as a special treat to us. Also, to hear it @ Vinyl, on that sound system which was one of the best in NYC... Fuhget about it! I never will. I Remember I went to Dance Trax EVERYWEEK until it dropped which was nuts b/c it didn't drop on vinyl for months since they had an advanced copy.. . Maybe even not a Final Mix. I was there when they unboxed it and dude just handed me both 12's. Hilarious. This song is beyond classic & will never die. ***For some of you liking whatever remix or NOT LIKING THIS: You need to here this on a Sound System that is Major and it really comes alive- Listening to this on your computer or phone? Yeah, you aren't going to get it and how that bass line effects you as simple as it is.. . Besides the Building Percussion & Keys- It's magic on Real Sound System. We don't need to even discuss Ms. Julie's Voice. She is HEAVEN SENT, like these lyrics.

i love such music..., something you my not know(?)regarding to this "They even brought it back, just restarted the song because it is just THAT good..." I was and always be into "Jungle"/"drumnbass"/ and such also and there´s a tradition at the raves, like: the MC asks the DJ sometimes for a so called "REEEWIIIND" ;-) for the crowd, and the crowd get´s that tune a second time or just restarted after a few seconds... :-)) - Love that interaction between audience/crowd-MC-DJ ... cheers

The best house record of all time.. I mean this and will take it to my grave..it's about death. Sandy Rivera is a genius to accomplish a movement like this without people knowing the true meaning of the track. Julie McKnight is an angel on the vocals ❤

This used to signal the end of the night but now it's the closing track of an era long gone. Happy dayz very sorely missed.
