Kings of War Brotherhood Vs Undead 2,500pts Battle Report.

I was flicking through my new KoW 3.0 book last night, deciding on what army to go for. I had decided on Undead as I have the old Skellies/Dwarf starter set but I wasn't sure how they played... so this video was VERY timely. Good, concise report! For future instalments I would like to see a birds eye view of the board state at end or start of each turn to get an idea of who's moved to where. Great stuff, though, really enjoyable. Glad the timing is useful! The Undead are tricky to get to grips with, they can be quite forgiving as a force due to being Fearless. Good feedback on the battle report, will ensure to do just that in the next ones. My main aim is to keep the videos short, an hour long battle report is I think too long, unless it is a huge battle.

Those are some nice looking miniatures! I’ve been looking to get fireforge and perry miniatures how were they to assemble and paint?

I have loads of the Fireforge plastic Mongolians and have found them to be a joy to paint, and very easy to assemble, their Resin however are a different story. Not sure about Perry miniatures.

lovely looking armies but those brotherhood movement trays are not good for gaming purposes. they're greatly increasing the footprint of the units which is set in the rules. a small lip is ok but thats like an inch extra on all sides of the unit!

We just measured from the models, plus having a larger footprint is not an advantage.

@@stonehorsegaming but in the game you're playing from the edge of the tray in melee so are always one inch apart? Fine in friendly games I suppose but in a tournament I suspect the TO would have an issue. Not having a go or anything just pointing It out. It's a fantastic looking army.

How would Age of Fantasy Regiments compare to KoW?

Both are drastically different. The big differences are: • Age of Fantasy Regiments has alternative activations, where as Kings of War is IGOUGO. This means there is very little downtime. •Age of Fantasy Regiments units can fight back in melee after they are attacked, where as in Kings of War they can not. • Age of Fantasy Regiments units decrease in effectiveness as they take damage, where as in Kings of War they are at full effectiveness until they are removed. • Age of Fantasy Regiments characters can join units for safety, where as in Kings of War they can not join units. • Age of Fantasy Regiments units have rules for ranks and command groups in units, where as Kings of War doesn't. • Age of Fantasy Regiments is has free core rules and army lists, where as Kings of War has a price tag. Both have rules for multibasing. Age of Fantasy Regiments is a lot closer to Warhammer Fantasy Battles than Kings of War is.
