Kings X and the audience perform 'Goldilox' as a final encore at Gramercy Theater on 07-28-2022. Such a great way to end an amazing show. They just turned the mics towards the audience and Dug led the audience like a conductor.

I was at this show. I had never heard Goldilox up to this point, but it was absolutely magical hearing 700 odd people singing this song woth every ounce if their souls. I would definitely love to see them again.

I've tried to describe this experience (of singing Goldilox along with KX) to those who haven't done it, and there just aren't words to fully explain the experience and the emotion. This is a special group guys and a great song.

Man this is my Dads all time favorite band. He died in January. This is really tough to get through. Wish we could have made one more show. Thanks for sharing. Insanely emotional.

Normally, I dislike when bands throw a song out to the crowd. It generally means the singer can't sing, or the band is mailing it in. But not with King's X. This is the connection the music fan in me lives for. Love this band and hope Ty gets healthy and we see them again soon. Faith. Hope. Love. Always. ❤

This started due a power outage at a show in Atlanda area way I think way back and Ty played Goldilox on an acoustic and the crowd started to sing along.

Always felt real strong Purple Rain vibes on this one, and to see the crowd singing with such passion and heart just confirms it for me. It's in that rarefied air of deeply emotional songs of the last 100 years.

Just experienced this on Friday, 10/21 on one of their last remaining 2022 dates in Hazard, KY. It was spiritual, wonderful, and a testament to the power of rock and roll and connection this amazing band has with its longtime fans.

I tell myself that it was the audience I was in during the Tapehead Tour in Nottingham, England. They started playing this normally, but we just belted the bollocks out of it and Doug just gave way, and we sang it all...truly a spiritual experience.

I love blowing out my voice singing this song to the band. It doesn't get any better as a fan.

I sang this song on stage with KingsX at Cardies in Houston, Tx in the mid 90’s. They just let me jump up on stage and take the mic. Incredible experience. I just don’t understand why they are not the biggest band ever. I think their music must just go right over people’s heads...yet they are the people’s band…so much heart, positivity, and unimaginable talent. This is awesome…thanks for posting.

@@smflyboy Well if it was you, you didn't hold back and sang with conviction, and from memory (it was years back I saw the video here on youtube) sounded pretty good too.

I am from Houston and forgot all about that club. My most memorable time seeing them was at the Old Tower theater when they had put out faith hope love and filmed all the videos there. Wow those are the good days !!!!!Saw Kings x numerous times here in Houston think they'll be here in October at Warehouse live definitely going to check them out..

Kings X should be playing arena's not smaller clubs like this. Its amazing to me that so many bands (even bands you would not think of like Alice in Chains and Pantera) LOVE Kings X. Jerry Cantrell actually said that Kings X should be credited with starting the grunge movement.

Just the best 💚 I first saw King's X on June 21st 1989 supporting Anthrax, and I've seen them dozens of times since. I'll love them until the day I die. Can't wait to see you on a UK tour soon. Of the nearly 2000 artists/bands I've seen live, they are by far the best, the most amazing and inspirational.

Firsf time I saw this band they had gone through setlist and were taking requests which included this song. DUg thoughf he would fuck up on the lyrics so the zudience got to sing it (this wasthe tour before Ogre Tones). It was a beautiful performance, seeing this video, thatperformance may not have been as slontaneous as I thought. To my pleasant surprise, Ogre Tones contained a re-recording of this, as if they'd rediscovered how beautiful this song is.

hah, you can see dug saying he is looking for a one night stand here clearly... hilarious... I never liked goldilox but this does not ever get old, even for me... I know some people want THEM to sing... but go and search, there are plenty of versions.. more impressive to me was seeing the crowd sing Pillow.. not obscure for us KX nuts but a little more obscure.. shows how much the fans are on the button. this beats my vid of this song as you can hear Dug a little... cool...

I think this is a beautiful gift to the fans. By letting the fans sing just one song, it makes them feel even more connected to the band. Almost like being part of the band. The best is when the song is over, the band claps for the audience to show their appreciation back.
