This is your most positive reaction yet to a King's X song. You have found something that you like. I hope that there are a few more songs to add to that list.

Great song from what imho is their best album....their sound is unique, its hard to put them in a genre because just when you think youve worked them out... it'll change a bit.....one thing that remains true is the musicianship.....a REALLY. Underrated band. 👏👏👏👏

Straightforward song for this band, but it grabs you for an album opener. And it works even better moving into the next track Prisoner. Always loved that change in tone, but still consistent energy, driving music. "World Around Me" crunchy hard rock- I'm playing race car driver weaving through crappy I-405 traffic "Prisoner" those opening acoustics and arpeggios = I made it to the PCH and have windows down cruising beachside on a sunny day

Will be super curious on your reaction to Lost in Germany. It's not a perfect song in terms of structure, but with those awkward, angular elevating riffs all over, it is by far my favorite from their entire catalog. Play it full blast so the neighbors can know what Ty can do.

Agree 💯 %...Lost in Germany is a beast of a song...saw them supporting AC/DC and Ty's solo that night was just mindblowing.

@@katskillz Lost in Germany is top 5-10 for me from the catalog. At the same time it feels like a single, yet too awkward for the average listener.

Night time recording, TV flickering, cat chillin'...feels right for a King's X album reaction!

I don’t know. The band might be like how Iron Maiden is to you. I can probably listen to this but more in the background. I’ll have to keep giving them a try as you listen to them.

dUg said the Looney Tunes theme song inspired the riff for this song. Now every time I hear this, I think of Bugs Bunny.

Not a bad little rocker. Nice backing vocals and good production. The parts I'm not jazzed about are the lead vocal and the drums. Also, all that talk about "We need a cover without our logo because Led Zeppelin did it is sort of putting the cart before the horse IMO." I'm glad Atlantic went "Um... no."
