I've noticed a lot of places (even down here in Louisiana) have started fixing their rice in a rice cooker instead of truly frying it... definitely a game changer, and I don't mean that in a good way.

There’s a chinese mall in my city. It actually has some great chinese food. Egg waffles and there “boneless” bicker cutlets have breading that is not panko bread crumbs, are both my favourite. They used to have these bentos of salt pepper chicken in top of rice, with 3 sections next to it with tomato scrambled eggs(if that’s how you say it in english), some sweet potato or something with awesome sauce, and a type of veggie. Sadly that place is gone now, was there before covid but it disappeared when I searched for it after a couple years. Plus other awesome chinese food places there

General Tso shrimp is f-in 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 but some places use real shrimp like for a seafood boil type shrimp and not the breaded kind get some hot oil on the side to spice it up a lil next time

I've been noticing in my area that some places now have "white meat General Tso's" which is just the sweet & sour chicken with General Tso's sauce. I haven't tried it yet, I'm too much of a purist. 🤣

I've seen a giant electric pressure cooker filled with so called fried rice and they just fill the take away container and get folks out quick. A very few actually will take that rice and then fry it quickly and then pack it. So it feels like a crap shoot for the fried rice quality. Thanks for sharing the food review.

Yeah I get the same feeling regarding the "fried" rice. I think a lot of places barely put it in the wok or they might skip the wok altogether. They probably got tired of customers complaining about greasy rice. Unfortunately people are dumb 😂 and expect healthy fried rice.

I'm originally from NYC and I moved here to Keyport NJ 4 years ago...I CAN NOT FIND A DECENT SLICE OF PIZZA OR CHINESE FOOD ANYWHERE AND IT'S KILLING ME!!! I literally have to drive back to NY to get decent take out. I got excited because soneone said "Krispy"s pizza was just like NYC so I drove to the one in Freehold and it was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! I’m from Jersey City but u need to go to the Linden NJ to try they Chinese spots they got the best the spots is called “No 1 China” they even got the world famous well northeast favorite apple sticks man they like crack they shaped like mozzarella sticks but have real apple pie filling not that KFC BS… so try it in post the vid 💯
