hi! im always wondering when making a portfolio and doing the research for some pieces ... what is the content of the writing ? is it journaling about the process of the piece ? thoughts about color and shape.... or bio about artists?? is the sketch book use as a note book to keep general info about an artist or subject??

+marcela pulgarin hey the sketchbook is normally all your work on a project: the process in which you do things, artist research, influence research, experimentation leading up to your final piece and then the portfolio is a showcase of your best pieces, usually from the sketchbook although you can have other pieces of work which you have done outside of the project. The writing in the portfolio itself is normally just a brief indication as to what is on that page e.g Title of artwork, date, how it links in
