There are salted & smoked chicken ham , turkey ham , beef ham , mutton ham that being sold in modern restaurants & eateries ... Besides , having a halal logo does not guaranteed the foods sold are free from viruses , bacteria , pathogens , parasites , fungus spores , carcinogens that can caused cancers , heavy metals , banned colorants , or safe from developing obesity , gout , high blood pressure , diabetes , food poisoning ( Some were fatal ) as reported in the national news involving patrons or customers downed with food poisoning after consuming foods from muslim restaurants , shops or hawkers ... All meats are vulnerable to infestation by viruses , bacteria , pathogens & parasites as in madcow & foot & mouth disease carried by cattles & sheeps or goats , bird flu from chickens or ducks , tapeworms from seafoods , Covid-19 / SARS / MERS from bats! Intoxicants also includes drugs & glue sniffing , while alcohol will lost its alcohol potency when cooked in heat leaving behind its fragrance into the dishes that being cooked together. We need to use our God given common sense & logic to making sure the foods we consume are safe & healthy to be eaten & not just rely on a printed halal logo! 🙏

my experience, especially turkey ham, last week I went to famous grocery store and asked if they had turkey ham, at this moment they have to reject turkey ham from suppliers because there have issue with halal certificate from Jakim, throwback 10-12 years ago, a friend from 5*Hotel industry told me same thing too that turkey ham used in hotels cannot be confirmed halal or not, I ask why? because in hotel they must follow the procedure from jakim and that is compulsary but in some case my friend saw there's no halal cert in some items ( Hotel FnB ) turkey ham one of that.
